Pretty much what it sounds like. Technology from different worlds, or that operates fundamentally differently from what we'd normally find. Stuff you'd read about in science fiction novels.
What's normal for me is probably different from what's normal for most people here, though, so I guess most technology might be 'otherworldly' to me.
Yeah, it does. As far as I know, humanity as I know it has been too busy trying to recover from global destruction to bother with colonizing other planets. But if what you're saying is true...
Wars. One in particular wiped out a good percentage of all life and left the world more or less a wasteland.
I see... How do you know we're not from the same planet after all, then? That we might be coming from such different timelines that we call our planet different names?
Wow. That was pretty stupid of them. Not that people where I'm from are that much smarter, though.
There isn't anything like absolute, definitive proof, but there's enough evidence pointing to it that there isn't much doubt. It's not just the planet name, but the entire history, culture, country and city names, among other things. None of it matches up.
I'll give that we won't get anywhere speculating without evidence, but if people like me ever want to get home, we're going to have to figure out how they got us here in the first place.
Not all of it, but most of it. He was a human scientist who tried to conquer the world with deadly weapons he stole, but they eventually backfired on him along with the new, unstable technology that was used to combat him. Everything went to hell before he was finally stopped about four years after the war began.
Then we have to focus on stopping these people first. They'd be more likely to spill their secrets when we've got them surrendering to us.

[...] What year are you from?

Does it matter? The date only means something to people who live on the same planet, right?

But yeah, assuming you're not from Terca Lumireis, I am.

Where is Terca Lumireis from Earth? Do you know?
Reply
No clue about distance. We never made contact with other planets.

I understand. Guess it's a waste of time trying to figure out how they managed to bring people from other planets here in the first place, huh.

Can't argue with that. I'd like to bring them down to their knees whether it'll help us or not. It's all they deserve.
