[Posted in her usual handwriting. Strikeouts a single line, legible.]

Last night, I dreamed I had become mechanical again and I fired upon my fellow patients in an upper floor corridor. Three sustained injuries and several others were witness to the attack ( Read more... )

Where the point is missed. stlg13bomber November 28 2010, 17:13:28 UTC
Awww, I'd forgive you. I mean, you're a robot, you gotta do what you're programmed to, right? So it's not really your fault.

But I offered no resistance. That is where the true guilt lies.

You can't not do what your programming makes you do. That's like a [small pause for pondering] a car not running when you turn the key.

At least I think that's how robots work.

[There is an inkblot from a pen resting a little too long on one spot.] I suppose that is true to an extent. But I cannot help but feel I should have had the power to do something about it.

Thank you for your kind words.

That's how it always works, in those sorts of dreams. No one ever thinks there's anything wrong or unnatural with what they're doing, until they wake up and realize how twisted everything was.

I was vaguely aware that this is a rather common type of dream here. However, I still cannot forgive my dream self for so completely falling under the dark influence.

[The strikeouts are almost entirely unreadable.]

Are you What hap

You feel forgiveness isn't an option. That's a real feeling.

[Minato's note seems to have been yanked down, as it has a tear where the original tack had been. However, it was replaced, along with a reply full of numbers and gibberish.

Finally, at the bottom of the note, she seems to have been able to write at least one legible sentence, though it is scratchy and forced.]

You mistake a programmed projection of feelings as real.

[Unlike the last note, the one that goes up is neatly printed without any hint of strikeouts.]

Do you really believe that?

[Her note is just as shaky as the last, but without the gibberish covering it.]

I was naive to believe any different.

[The word 'Hypothetically' is crammed in at the start as if as an after thought] Think of it like a virus.

An interesting way of thinking about it. However, it seems like a rationalization.

Sounds like a virus to me. Knew a guy once who got hit with one so bad he went from tree-hugging scientist to slag-spewing maniac and back again in one day.

An interesting virus. I take it this person no longer resides in this place?

Do you mind a more...freeform style? I haven't won any boxing competitions, but I've won a lot of fights.

Intriguing. Non-regulatory style may prove to be more efficient for one such as myself.

Are you willing to coach an amateur?

I wouldn't have replied if I weren't. I already promised the rest of today to the History Club, but maybe tomorrow?

I thank you for your willingness, Taura-san.

Understood. Tomorrow may be best for me as well.
