Seriously, you’re giving people homework? Nothing wrong with taking a break and chilling out here without the classes - that’s what we’re here for, to relax.

Not homework for the intended audience. If I remember correctly, there are some people here who do not have English as their first language. Having to think in something other than your native tongue constantly can be quite tiring.

For the rest? Consider it optional, ungraded homework.

What do you mean? I don't speak much English at all. This message is in Japanese.

This is an American facility. It isn't likely that everyone here will be speaking Japanese.

I can help explain things for you, if you wish to meet in person. I doubt the nurses will allow anything that might be misinterpreted as encouraging delusions.

Good thinking. I've got a few more under my belt, in varying degrees of aptitude.

[And here added in the particular Fairy language he's best familiar with. The letters are crude, obviously written by someone unused to the alphabet.]

I don't suppose anyone knows this one?

[Russian]

Or this?

I know enough Russian to get by, but I haven't really had to use it since since the Cold War ended. I do not know the other language you used.

It's not a language that's in common circulation very much.

I supposed as much. I can't even identify what it is.

If that is the case, I worry for them when night falls.

Yes, but will you do anything about it?

A fair question. Outside of barring them inside their rooms, I don't see much that can be done.

I can think of several things, myself. Among them, continuing the duties of the Search & Rescue group, to patrol the areas where disoriented, 'sane' patients are likely to pass through and keep watch over them, and coordinate with the clinic so that injured individuals can be brought to those with medical skill.

Interesting. I suspected as much, from other messages that have gone back and forth, but it's good to have confirmation.

Please tell us when you know where people will be based tonight. I've got an idea for how to share important locations with the crowd, but it won't be much help until we know what those locations are.

I have started roll call and will be making assignments in the afternoon. I can post them in French for you to pass along to everyone. I've also asked where the clinic might be set up tonight, so hopefully we will have a location given for that as well.

What are you looking for people to do?

Patrol in small groups, protect others, help the injured, and rescue those who have been taken to the labs on the second floor. I have something to melt the locks off the doors there.
