While Guy had gotten to at least see his roommate during dinner, which was enough of a relief on its own, they hadn't talked much. Okita had seemed engrossed in his workings for the club that he was apparently taking over, at least temporarily, and so Guy had kept to his dinner, enjoying the fish and the rest of it as best he could. He'd made sure to thank his roommate a few times over for getting him a sword, but in the end the time seemed to pass too quickly, and before he knew it Landel was on the intercom again, taunting them as usual.
If the Head Doctor thought that mentioning the possibility of something going wrong was going to stop any patient from going out, then he had another thing coming. Though Guy didn't think that was it at all. Landel knew they were all too curious for their own good, desperate for information and whatever else could be found in the nooks and crannies of the institute or beyond. He expected them to rush straight into unknown danger, and he probably thought it was fun to watch.
So even if he might be playing right into what Landel wanted, Guy still gathered his things for the night. It would be his first time taking out the new sword, and he was itching to make use of it. Chances were that was going to happen one way or another if they were going over the wall, and so he was just glad that he was in good shape and well-equipped.
Guy also made certain to loop his radio around his wrist and take his flashlight in the opposite hand. It was bothersome that he didn't even have a sheath for his sword, but that was probably a little too much to ask. Unless he crafted one himself (which he could probably do, with the right supplies and enough time), he would have to resort to the more risky method of carrying the naked blade in his hand.
"Good luck with your club duties tonight," Guy told Okita with a warm smile as he headed for the door. While he was sure that he would be running into Claude soon enough, he realized that Luke hadn't responded to his bulletin message. Still, they had spoken in person and Luke knew where they were going, so the redhead would probably just meet them in the same spot where he'd met him and Anise a few nights back, when they'd ended up in Baticul.
Confident that the three of them would make progress tonight, Guy headed out of the door and down the hall.
