If she were honest, Yukari would have said she had no idea what a "sun room" was supposed to entail. She didn't ask, though, because by the time she had finished asking all the more important questions (which still weren't getting answered in any way that made sense), Yukari was getting rather fed up with all the nonsense her accompanying nurse was

The process of telling Javert about the night he spent being under the mercy of one of the institute's crazed doctors was like getting a tooth pulled out, or according to Sechs' bruised pride, punched out! So by the time Sechs shuffled into the Sun room with his arm wrapped around his broken side, he was far from being in any sort of a pleasant mood

While he'd been careful to watch the bulletin all day, he had to just cross his fingers and hope that this lead would actually be something worth looking into. Sure enough, there was a very limited number of dark-haired, yellow-eyed men in the Sun Room, so while the handwriting had been a little different, it was still the right person.

He was busy with some of the kittens, but switching from one kitten to another shouldn't be a problem! As the self-proclaimed big kitty, he had no qualms about walking up and being just as clingy as the kitten now climbing up Sechs' leg. In fact, he plopped down in the seat next to the android without much more than a giggle by way of greeting, then leaned over on the other man's shoulder to watch the little feline.

"Sechsy! Did you miss me?"

Unaware of the approaching blond, Sechs was just in the middle of grabbing Gally when heard a familiar chuckle, followed by a small burden plopping down on his shoulder. For a second, Sechs thought another cat had just pounced on his back, but the voice he heard in his ear told him otherwise. Ah crap...!

Now with two pests to deal with, Sechs found himself struggling to wrangle the kitten off and bark in Fai's face. "Ugh! No!" he answered through gritted teeth, not one bit happy with all the attention he was suddenly receiving, "And don't call me-- AGH! Damn cat--!!" To Sechs' pained dismay, Gally dodged his reaching hands and made a swift (and very prickly) scramble up past his waist and into the back of his shirt, digging her needle-like nails into his skin with no mercy.

Grunting and cursing, Sechs dragged his attention back to the kitten, struggling to grab the cat without twisting his bruised torso too much. "Whaddya want Fai?!" he growled, "Can't you see I'm-- Ah, shit! -- Busy? I'm meeting up with someone here!"

Yuuhi managed to duck out of the way just in time to avoid the worst of Sechs' bark, but couldn't avoid the small kitten that was shoved into his arms. The thing was riled up and a little scared after his time with the android, so Yuuhi's fingers ended up with a few new scratches before he managed to settle the little creature.

"Meeting with someone? Oooh, me too, me too!" he said with a smile. "I haven't met them before, but they said they needed a good listener."

The kitten didn't seem to want to sit in his hands, and instead crawled up onto his shoulder and kept bumping the corner of his jaw with its soft little head. He reached up to pet it, barely able to see it, but he managed to get it purring after he found the right spot.

"But who're you meeting with? I bet it's someone really important, hm?"

"Well good luck finding 'em then!" Sechs retorted, too aggravated to catch onto Fai's familiar words. Careful not to strain his torso, Sechs grumpily rubbed his hands over Gally's painful handiwork on his back, expecting to find traces of kitten-induced blood but was disgruntled to find nothing. Man, such a small cat with even smaller nails could still cause a lot of pain...!

"I don't know!" Sechs growled, keeping a wary eye on the excitable kitten, who looked about ready to pounce back on her first victim, "I gave 'em my description so they oughta find me." The grumpy android crossed his arms, shooting a glare at the two annoyances before him; it was still unnerving to see just how the kitten's eyes looked so much like Alita's... "What's it to ya?"

Wow, Yuuhi was really going to have to spell it out if Sechs was ever going to realize that he was talking about the conversation they'd had just earlier today on the bulletin. It was kind of amusing really, or would be, if he didn't need new information so badly.

"Well, they said I should look for someone tall, with messy black hair and yellow eyes. What do you think? Know anyone like that?" he grinned, still busily petting the cat. He glanced up just long enough to catch the other's eye.

"I heard he had a really interesting dream about this place."

Sechs watched Fai's hand stroke the dangerous kitten with furrowed eyes. Any moment now, that cat was bound to make a move and...

The Replica's eyes snapped back up to Fai's single one, blinking from a brief spell of confusion as his brain immediately shifted gears and clanked down on the blond's reply.

"Wuh...?" Sechs slouched slightly, until his brain finally clicked. "Crap! That was you, huh?" he exclaimed, more annoyed with Fai than himself over such a withdrawal of information, "Why didn't you say so in the first place

If Sechs could barely put together the fact that Yuuhi was the one from the bulletin board, then hiding his true motives in seeking the information shouldn't be difficult at all. He let the kitten perch on his shoulder, content for the moment, as he listened to the story

"I was getting to that!" Sechs grumbled, wincing a little from a pang in his ribs. Wrapping an arm around his torso, Sechs continued with his story

He knew at least a little bit about Jill, enough to know things had been a mess when she'd started taking over for Jack. The second world business wasn't all that surprising, given what Landel had told them about the altverses, Tsubasa, Ex-ex-ex-holic, 1226701... what did surprise him though, was the second name Sechs brought to his attention

Heh! Getting Fai's annoying grin to slip, even for just a minuscule moment, satisfied the Replica's need to boast about his achievement

Seemed that was about all he was going to get, but that small bit was more than enough. Would that be enough for the doctor to let Sakura free? Or bring his brother back? Just knowing that the young girl was in Landel's hands, that there was no way to know if she was alright or falling prey to another of the man's experiments

[Ack! Sorry for my lateness! orz]"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." Sechs grumbled, waving nonchalantly at Fai's praise, (although a hint of a proud smirk briefly emerged in the corner of his lips), "I showed that monster son of a bitch not to screw with me

It was almost cute to see how easily a compliment could boost the other man's ego. Of course, the atmosphere immediately changed as soon as he revealed the injury. He'd expected surprise, even anger, so he didn't flinch as Sechs growled at him.

"It's nothing really! I hardly even remember it," he smiled, shrugging his shoulders as if he were just explaining how he'd skinned his knee or gotten a new boo-boo on his elbow. It wasn't a complete lie. Waking up after his match with Yue in the coliseum, still bleeding and broken, stuck in that metal drawer with his eye suddenly missing and no idea how he'd been revived or why...

"Don't even worry about it!"
