It seemed a good sign to him that when Sora opened the door, no lock was keeping them out. The door slid open easily, leading to more darkness, though this seemed much more constricting than the night's dark. When he'd found the light switch after searching the wall just inside the building, flipping it led to no new illumination. Just like the institute...
There definitely was something to this darkness, something like what he was used to with the Heartless. It seemed too big a coincidence to believe both the institute and the town lacked electricity at the same time, and it just happened to be at night - especially since the lights went off every night! No, Roxas imagined the darkness was affecting the world by trying to snuff out what light it could.
It was a wonder this world wasn't swarming with Heartless - or, in that case, Nobodies.
Through his exploration, the Nobody bumped his knee on a giant wooden desk; after a low curse of "ow!" and a bit of rubbing of his knee to alleviate some of the pain, he began inspecting the desk itself. On top was a triangle thing with what he figured was a name etched into it.
"Tam Scotch..." There wasn't any evidence the man was there, though, or really had been at all that day. Where could the people of the town be going?
