There were very few activity shifts, Cloud was sure, that could possibly make him feel more like he was being treated like a child. He took a seat at one of the tables and blankly examined the materials set out before him. A pair of the dullest scissors he'd ever seen were labeled 'ages 3 and up'. It was good to know where the patients stood in

Her hair was mostly dry by the time she wheedled her way back into the arts and crafts room. But still. Tying her hair up single-handedly wasn't going to cut it. She sighed, half-annoyed, then wandered the room looking for something else to do. Paper animal war wouldn't cut it this time. Maybe something really hands on?
There were a couple packages of clay that Meche had mentioned once, and that seemed just the thing. She snagged them, shoving them under her arm, then made her way to a table. Getting a package open between fingers and teeth was well and good--making anything that looked like anything was a different story. 'Specially seeing she was down a hand. Nice. The girl rolled her eyes and started making details in the lump. At least her blob could have a face.

She was just about to sit down by herself when she noticed Senna at one of the tables. She was making something out of clay, but apparently having some trouble with it--not surprising, since one of her arms was in a sling. Meche invited herself over and took a seat at the table next to the girl, laying her own supplies out next to the packages of clay. "How's it going?" she asked lightly, not clarifying whether she was referring to the art project, the day, or life in general. She'd just let Senna answer whichever question she wanted.

Crafts in general today weren't working out too well. Though earlier was from everything leftover from breakfast. Hokuto crying like that, and.... The build-up had been worse, Senna decided. Had made everything worse. The smile faded, and her eyes flicked down to the clay, the nail of her thumb carving down-turned eyes. "Hey, I... I gotta tell you something, okay?" The girl's eyes glanced up. "And sorry to hit you with stuff right away, but." Her mouth twisted. "Alita's gone."

She poked the clay habitually, an indent growing in the center. "I'm... I'm okay. I'll be okay, you know?" She would be. A little less and a little heavier but she wasn't the type to give up like that. And how would Falis feel, to know that Senna just stopped fighting because she was gone? She'd probably smack her for that. "Hokuto was really messed up about it though." And for good reason.

It didn't surprise her to hear that Hokuto was upset. She knew about that from experience, too. "Well, let's try to look out for her, okay? Even if she doesn't feel like company right now, we can at least make sure she's all right," was all she could really say. She wondered if it was how routine the disappearances were that made it so hard for everyone to talk about them. It's hard to say that you're grieving when most of the people around you are in the same state. Like a heart monitor, Meche thought--sometimes the feeling spiked, then went back down to a dull ache, but it never really went away.
She wanted to talk about something else. And now she remembered what she'd meant to say to Senna anyway--even if this wasn't the best time, they had to discuss Arts and Crafts so she'd know what to say to Sora on the bulletin board. "Listen," she began, "I know things are tough right now, but I needed to talk to you about what's going on with Arts and Crafts. How do you feel about Sora's message

And as if to underline that, that was brought up. She poked a finger into her clay, mouth twisting in thought. "Sora's a reliable guy, I think," she started. "He's been around with A&C longer than I have, and signed up about every day. And he's always been helpful and wanting to check up on people. He'd be good for it."
