"What is the meaning of this? I demand to speak with your superior immediately!"
"Mr. Edelstein, please calm down," The latter responded, worry etched on her features. "I know this is very upsetting for you, but please understand that we're only looking out for your best interests."
His best interests? That hardly seemed to be the case, or else they would have left him as is. No, the nation was convinced they were doing anything but, and he could only grow all the more suspicious at the name addressed. However, he took a deep breath, refusing to let his temper get the better of him. Austria was willing to relent as long as he was given answers, and fast.
"I'm don't know who or what convinced you of that, but I can assure you that I'm capable of doing such a thing myself," He calmly denounced. "So, if the request itself isn't too unreasonable, I'd rather be off."
"I'm afraid that can't be done until we know for sure," The nurse explained. "But rest assured, once you're better we can do just that."
It was her last words that garnered the most suspicion. Austria was far from ill, but by no means was he completely himself either. Even now silence was deafening; had they known about this?
"'Better'...? What are you talking about?" And then there was the most important question. "Where exactly are we?"
"Don't you know? This is Landel's Institute," She answered before stepping forward and taking his wrist, the action causing Austria to frown though he refrained from pulling away. "Now come on. You must be hungry for some breakfast."
