Like Dean was supposed to believe the whole beaming down crap was supposed to be all for their benefit. You wanted to help someone, you didn't kidnap them from their homes - or friggen time machines like the Doctor - and then offer them great food and a pat on the head like that made it a-okay.
Whatever it was, this wasn't from the goodness of the

But, well, right now he had other things to be thinking about. Like the fact that someone would be stopping by to look at the supplies he'd gathered, and had now spread out over the surface of his bed while he still had light to do it. Hopefully Peter would recognize at least some of the medicines, so they could get some use out of what Hanatarou had gathered. It would be nice if he'd done something right for once.
He absently adjusted the way his bag was settled against his back, casting a somewhat nervous glance in Sora's direction. "Be careful... okay?" Should he ask Sora to tell Kairi hello for him? No, probably no reason. She likely didn't even remember talking to him.

Not that he hadn't come across strange items before. Back home he'd made a habit of collecting materials to synthesize, not to mention buying accessories from different stores, so this wasn't all that different. Still, the idea that it could transport him if he broke it was new to the boy, and he was pretty curious to try it out.
He'd have to wait until he met up with his friends, though. Riku wouldn't want him trying something like that without him, and it wasn't as if they could leave Kairi behind, either.
He was getting ahead of himself, though. Glancing over at Hanatarou when he spoke up, Sora smiled and nodded. "I'll try!" he responded. "But you have to, too!" That was how it went. Everyone had to look out for themselves, because you never knew when something bad was going to happen, or when a really tough monster was going to show up.
Sora noticed that his roommate hadn't found a ring of his own, which meant that one of the other people he'd been with last night had to have it. He would have asked the other boy to come along and check it out with him, but he knew that Hanatarou already had plans.
Slipping the ring onto his left index finger, Sora grabbed for his flashlight and smiled at his roommate once more. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Have a good night!" Waving, he turned away and stepped out of the door into the hall. Was he going to have a surprise for his friends or what!

As expected, he made it to the boy's room with no delay. Peter tucked Sam's gun around to the side of the band on his sweatpants for good measure, since he didn't need it staring Hanatarou in the face when he opened the door.
Other than that, there wasn't much to worry about. Though it was right as Peter was knocking that he realized he should have grabbed a pillowcase when he was back in his room. If they were going to be looting large amounts of medicine and bandages tonight, that would be a help. Still, hopefully Hanatarou would have one to spare.
Having given two sound knocks on the door, Peter took a half-step back and waited, shovel in one hand and flashlight in the other.

Even though he was expecting a knock on the door it still startled him when it came, and he dropped the light again with a muffled squeak. As it clattered to the floor he was caught between reaching to try to grab it again or answer the door, and after a second pushed halfway to his feet and turned toward the door. "Ah, c-come in!" he called, feeling about with one sandaled foot in search of the light as he did.

The room was pitch black, which seemed a little weird. Had Hanatarou lost his flashlight? Luckily, Peter had his, and it was equipped with a fresh set of batteries after Dean's generosity the night before. Sam and his brother were good guys. Sam had lent him his gun, Dean had given him some batteries -- those probably weren't normal ways that people used to judge character, but it seemed to work well enough in this place.
Grabbing back onto his flashlight, he used it to get a better look at Hanatarou and then take a glance around the room. He quickly spotted a whole pile of pill bottles laid out on the bed. "Wow," he said with a raised eyebrow. "You weren't kidding."

"No, I... well, I didn't know what was useful," he replied, with a small shrug. "So I took a little of whatever I could find. Then, ah, I could see what was useful?" It had sounded like a good idea at the time, at least, and that way he'd been able to make an inventory of what he had. Which, presumably, was all or most of what the pharmacy held.

"Yeah, that's fine," he responded, slightly distracted as he started to move his flashlight over the pile. "The more of an idea I have of what's up there, the better." And it seemed to be a pretty good variety, at that.
A lot of it wasn't very helpful (such as the allergy pills, anti-bacterial medication, and there was even some diabetes medication), but there were a good deal of pain pills to choose from. Peter first grabbed for the morphine, then the Vicodin, and also snatched up the Oxycodone, Ibuprofen, Robaxin, and aspirin for instances where the pain wasn't as severe. All were set to the side as he sorted through it.
And, as an afterthought, he also grabbed the bottles of Xanax, Valium, and Seroquel. While most people here weren't insane or even necessarily depressed, he imagined that anxiety and panic attacks were common enough that it would be good to have that stuff on hand.
"These are for pain," he said, motioning the boy over so that he could watch and learn. "These kinds are especially helpful," he continued as he pointed to the Vicodin and the morphine, "but the others will do in a pinch." Then he pointed to the pile of anti-anxiety medication. "These are for if people are emotionally distressed. We shouldn't just be handing them out to anyone, but we might want to get some more just in case."
They were still going to need to get their hands on bandages and burn ointment, but this was a good start. It was better than Peter had expected, and while stopping the pain wasn't going to save someone's life, it would certainly make it a little easier for them to bear their wounds until they got some proper medical attention. Or healing, as the case might be.

"Okay," he agreed, bobbing a small nod. Alleviating pain would be a good thing, and medicine to calm upset people would also be helpful. It wasn't quite shinten, but he didn't have that anyway. "So we want more of those and not the rest?"
Reply
"But yeah, the rest is for if you've got a cold or a stomach ache or something like that. I don't think that happens too often here, so we don't really need to worry about it." With how good the food was here, it wasn't as if they needed to be concerned about food poisoning, for instance. And he just didn't hear people coughing and sniffling all that often. If some epidemic did spring up somehow, at least he now knew what medicine was available to them. They could deal with it then.

"I was working with, ah, Sakura-san about the medicines, and I think she'd like the information too. Er. I don't know... if you know her. But I think... the more people who know, the better?" He hoped, at least. He and Sakura didn't know these medicines, and he hadn't asked Kibitoshin or Tsukasa. "And... if those are the only ones we need, it'll be easier to gather."

Flipping out to an empty page, he started to copy down the names of the medicines, making one column for pain medicine and one for anxiety, doing his best to rank the names from heavy-duty to mild. He realized he'd also have to explain dosages at some point, but that could probably wait for another time. They only had so much time tonight.
"That name doesn't ring a bell, no," he remarked when a Sakura was brought up. But if someone else wanted this information, then he figured he might as well write out two lists while he was at it, and so he continued to scribble. "If we can stock up on all of this stuff, we should be in good shape. Or better shape, at least. We're still going to need some more bandages."
Reply
"I have some bandages," he replied, thoughtfully tugging at the strap of his healer's bag. A large amount of the bandages that he had were in there, after all, but he had extra for restocking-- should he need to, though he hadn't yet. "But we should probably get as much as we can, to share with everyone else." And Peter hadn't brought a bag or pillowcase with him, that Hanatarou could see, and they were probably going to need that.
The healer hesitated for a moment, then gave an inward sigh and moved over to his roommate's bed. He was pretty sure Sora hadn't taken his pillowcase, but if nothing else, they could always take one of the sheets and fold it into a bundle. That would get them a lot of supplies, wouldn't it? And if they timed it right they'd just appear back in their rooms with it in the morning without having to carry it, but... where would he keep all that? Under the bed, maybe....

"Yeah, the more bandages we have, the better," he agreed. That was one thing that you could pretty much never have enough of, as far as he was concerned. He also realized it would have been nice if they could have stockpiled some ice from one of those fridges, but there was no way to keep that in a room unless they found a cooler and managed to shove it into a closet without a nurse noticing. Which seemed unlikely, to say the least.
As he watched Hanatarou move over to the other bed, Peter could more or less guess what he was getting at. He followed after him, eyeing the pillow that still had its case. He considered just grabbing for it, but decided it would be better to ask. "Do you think your roommate would mind if I took that? It should be replaced by morning, anyway." That was the pattern he'd noticed, at least. And the more storage space they had, the better.

He tucked the lists and journal carefully in his drawer, reminding himself to give one copy to Sakura in the morning before he moved on. "I had to, ah, use ripped sheets as bandages for the first little while," he agreed, picking up the pillow and staring at it for a moment as he tried to decide whether or not Sora would be unhappy about him taking it. Probably not? He was pretty sure.
"Ah, I... I'm pretty sure he wouldn't?" Hanatarou hesitated a moment longer before turning and offering the pillow to Peter. "I think, well, if he wanted it he would've... taken it with him. Before. And, and he might not even notice. If it's back later."
Reply
It looked like Hanatarou was working off of the same logic as he was. There was a good chance the kid's roommate wouldn't even notice that the pillowcase was gone. Taking the pillow, he stripped it off its case and then draped it over his shoulder, figuring he would do well to keep his hands as free as possible.
Sam's gun was still safely wedged into the elastic of his pants, so Peter grabbed up his shovel and flashlight again before turning back to Hanatarou with raised eyebrows. "You ready to go?" He figured he'd let him lead the way, seeing how he was the one who knew where he was going. Peter didn't plan on being less than a step or so behind him, though. He got the feeling the boy wasn't all that good in a fight.
