Reminding herself that these were the same halls she had been escorted through during the day had not served to ease the hairs on the neck, nor her quickening heartbeat. An adventure, a quest through haunted rooms to find the one responsible. That she was not,

Reaching the end hallway, Teresa took up a spot by the wall near the bathroom door. She had full sight of all four F-Block hallways and it made her visible to anyone leaving those halls. She knew the youma and had seen Taura before, despite not having conversed with her before. This Asuka, though. She the tall warrior did not know.
Arms crossed with the hilt of her claymore easily visible above her shoulder, Teresa waited.

It was hard to be subtle when carrying a meter-wide throwing star. About as difficult as being subtle while eight feet tall and fanged; Taura only tried when it mattered. Tonight she was meeting people -- obvious was good. At least until (or if, she couldn't help adding) they'd moved onto the mission part of the mission.
"Howdy. We the first ones here?" Rhetorical question, unless something significantly strange was going on, but it was the thought that counted, right?

"So it seems," she replied, the slightest of smiles touching her lips. "Teresa," she introduced herself.

"Have you ever used one of these?". Taura hadn't -- to be fair, both of her weapons weren't one she'd trained with before, but she figured twenty years of having built-in claws counted for something. The throwing star-disk-arrow thing on the other hand looked like it belonged in a museum. Along with the sword hilt she could see peeking over Theresa's shoulder. Maybe she would know more about it.

Letting go, she looked the throwing star over again then shook her head. "No. I was trained from a child with a claymore. I have enough experience and knowledge to adapt to most bladed weapon, but I have never seen something such as that." A pause, eyes flickering back to Taura's face. "Where did you get it?"

"Was that where you were aiming?"

A flash of motion caught her eye -- Zack was waving at her. She waved back, curling and uncurling her clawed hand. She didn't miss the glance he shot at the new weapon; nor could she blame him for the fact that he and the man with him hurried on without another word. He missed her, that much was obvious. Still, he hadn't demanded the weapon, or made a fuss; they had to get out of here before they had the luxury to look for what they'd lost.

One turn brought her to the aforementioned meeting place. It only took her a moment to find the other two; she didn’t bother trying to conceal herself, knowing it would be the same for at least one of them.
There was no male supervisor this time. But not only that… Both females were now armed with a greater array of weapons than when Yomi had met them, and despite the blonde one registering as no more than a insubstantial power once again, both also physically outweighed her by a noticeable amount.
… Ah well. Yomi still had her own skill set. And one other thing that neither of them had.
"Good evening, ladies," she greeted casually. She used polite enough terms for it. The question was, out of the two here, where was the third?

Before the other woman had much of a chance to reply, the hybrid's eyes shifted over to Hayashi as soon as she entered the hallway. She raised her chin in greeting, choosing to stay civil. "Hayashi," she replied before turning to Taura. "Have you two met? And do either of you know who this Asuka is?"

When she rejoined Theresa and Yomi, she explained. "And that was a friend of mine. Helped a couple of us get away from the thing with the swords." That was a terribly vague description, but Taura wasn't really sure more would help. Especially when they hadn't found a weak point, just enough time to run away. "I don't know Asuka, though. Yomi?"

"We have," answered Yomi while Taura made her way back. But she wasn’t familiar with the other one, either, and had to give her head a small shake. “No idea.” The difference between her and the fourth member not responding to the assignment posting was that these two females already knew who Yomi was, and vice versa. Easier, when one knew what to look for ahead of time. If she’d ever caught a description of Asuka, however, Yomi didn’t remember it now.
In the interests of rounding out the "team," the natural thing to do would be to wait a while longer for the stranger to join them. But even without Homura’s chastising still fresh in her memory, the basement was more important than waiting around, in Yomi’s opinion.
In the mean time: "What’s this 'thing with the swords'?" she asked. Opponents also struck her interest more than tardy companions.

"We have waited long enough. Three is all that is required for passage through the basement. Let this be a lesson to Asuka not to dally," she said, turning toward the door. She took a few steps and paused, looking back. "And yes - this thing with the swords. Can you be more specific?"

"It looked almost like a mechanical man," she rumbled, sounding more amused than the attack might have warranted had they not all gotten free. Robots, once a staple of science fiction, had proved less useful than specialized automation, and were now a rare novelty. "He wasn't very tall," she said, gesturing at a point somewhere mid-chest. They'd reached the corner; Taura led them around it without hesitation.
