The Scarecrow kept his eyes on the ground as he stepped through the doorway, not expecting to see the street and the rain and the wandering shadows that should have been just outside the building. Surely enough, he took one step across the threshold, closed his eyes reflexively to fight back the dizzying feeling that the room was moving all around them, and when he opened them again, they were anywhere but the streets of Doyleton.
He stopped, his feet still moving in place to help him keep his balance. He nearly leapt from his skin when he caught sight of a mirror along one of the walls, thinking the person in the reflection was possibly one of the Wizard Landel's minions. Then again, he was always a little startled by his own reflection: he wasn't used to seeing the person on the other side.
Turning from the mirrors, the Scarecrow stayed near Remy and Kibitoshin. "I don't think this room looks much better than the last one," he said grimly.

But, thank goodness, he really was being irrational. Instead there came that same old wave of nausea, and then suddenly they were standing in another room. Back in the Institute? It could very well be- it looked like some sort of cloakroom almost, with lockers and mirrors against two of the walls.
"I don't think so, either," he agreed, shaking his head slightly. "I mean, there might be something here, but I don't really like the idea of going through the nurse's things..." Not only because they were twice his size, either- it was just wrong!
He clenched his fists, turning to the door again. "There has to be somewhere useful this door can take us. Come on, let's try again." He opened the door again- pull, not push, as he discovered a moment later- and marched back ( ... )
