The damn burger place was actually the last place Haseo would have wanted to revisit after the previous week, but there was little other choice when practically dragging the distraught Endrance along with him and trying to find an appropriate shelter: he couldn't be certain anywhere else close would have somewhere to sit

... Not okay. It wasn't okay because everything was completely out of control, and when Haseo honestly needed Endrance to be at his strongest? Instead he was faced with someone who had utterly come unglued, and the perceived lack of understanding in how to deal with it. Of course, there was no telling why there weren't more people driven to outright insanity, if not for the random disappearances... however.
"We'll get through this, Endrance," he said regardless, and forced himself into believing it too as he went on. "I don't know how, but... all we can do is focus on what we can do now." A sigh, and another tense look towards the staff that still lurked around the edges of the establishment. "Right now, that's... surviving. And making sure others do the same.
"I, uh..." But whatever Haseo had been meaning to say then was abruptly diverted by the approach of someone else. For a moment Haseo just stared at Leon in a sort of stunned state- the plainness of the boy's cheerfulness seemed blinding in contrast to the dark mood hanging over the table moments before. The boy was also quite damp-looking, and it wasn't until then that Haseo finally noticed just how wet he'd gotten in the time they'd spent out in the weather instead of inside some business or another.
"Leon, hey," he finally greeted, moving one hand up to work at his coat and trying not to turn red.

I...I can't go to bits right now. You need me in one piece, and I...I can't fail. If I do...
"I know," he said, quietly. "I know that. So..."
He looked up, then, only then even realizing someone else was there. "Oh...hello...I'm sorry. I...I'm not feeling so well, so..."

Though it looked like he'd gone an interrupted a rather personal moment. Good job, Leon. He fidgeted a little. "I can, ah... move to another table, if you want? Or go get food and give you some more time." He didn't want to be a little pest, after all. They had their own matters to worry about. He'd be fine as long as he didn't go too far, right?

... And to kill the creatures, some who had definitely been townspeople moments before, using whatever was within arms-range, hoping to fend them off just long enough to find a way out... how even when the zombies had no chance, they continued to attack despite destroyed body parts and--
"It doesn't matter, do what you want," Haseo answered, a little more roughly than he should have, but then sighed and shook his head slightly. "No, stay here," he appended after a short pause, "Or-- whatever, just stay nearby."
He ran a hand through his hair and glanced over at Endrance again, more or less trying to gauge his state. Everything else seemed strangely dulled to Haseo, but his anxiety towards keeping his friends safe managed to persist despite it. Good for them, tiring for him in the end, although naturally he would be loathe to admit that under most circumstances.

He took a moment to glance out the window. "I hope this rain lets up, regardless...I hadn't even realized how bad it was until a few moments ago.
That was really more for Leon's benefit than his own, though. The rain mirrored Endrance's mood, and he didn't mind it so much, personally.

He smiled at Endrance, trying to get across that he wasn't uncomfortable with him there even if he wasn't feeling all that chipper. (And the man was right - this wasn't exactly the best weather for being chipper.) It wasn't as though the rain had been coming down all that hard until a few minutes ago anyway, so it was no big deal that he hadn't noticed - especially since he was preoccupied.
