Day 49: Doyleton, Early Morning

The sky continued to be overcast even as the string of buses pulled smoothly into their usual spots. Around them, the town seemed a sight better than than the zombie-infested state that the patients had last seen it in; there was no visible damage from explosions, or gunfire, or even bloody messes on the ground where the undead bodies had been cut down.

However, there were some changes. Every few storefronts or so, a glass window would be broken, or a door would be unhinged, or a brick wall would sport a large smiley face crudely spraypainted in bright yellow.

All in all, it seemed as if some mild to moderate vandalism had hit the town, and from the way the passing townspeople glared silently at the buses upon their arrival, it seemed as if someone from Landel's was to blame.

Supposedly.

The engines of the buses died down and a faint pitter-pattering could be heard on their roofs. Drizzle was falling - not a lot, but it was there, and it clung faintly to the clothes of the patients as they filed slowly into the town.
