Morning hit without warning, with the sheer knowledge hitting the Digimon before anything else that today they were going back to Doyletown. Her feet hit the floor and she rotated her right shoulder experimentally. The skin stretched tight, soreness persevering, but it moved fine. She stretched her fingers then curled them into a fist, staring at

No ruined town, no creepy dark woods, no Meche, no monsters. For a moment, Senna didn't know whether to be relieved or depressed. The question passed--right now, she'd rather be in the woods, no discussion. At least out there-- The small Shinigami didn't argue with the nurse this week about the clothes brought. She slid on the worn jeans and way too meanly ironic top. The girl sighed, shaking out her hair. She'd tie it back up on the bus.
Halfway out the door, the nurse stopped her, handing over a jacket. She looked at it for a minute and tried for banter. "Really? You think I can pull that off with my hair?" Obviously not her regular nurse, the woman just frowned and waited for Senna to take it. The girl sighed and shrugged it on, heading for bus and lacking the energy that normally fueled her. She wondered how Meche was, and if Falis had ended up having a good night. After everything... Man. Half of her didn't even want to go, be it outside or not.

...he hadn't, had he? Hopefully there hadn't been some time that he'd missed during the whole thing.
Fortunately, though, the nurse didn't say a word when she arrived to shoo him out of bed, but her opening greeting and bundle of non-grey clothing reminded him that it was another field trip day. Hanatarou dressed himself in the unfamiliar clothing without really paying attention except to be grateful that the green dragon-y jacket hadn't made an appearance again this week. What if something like last week happened again? He hadn't planned anythingAt least he spotted a familiar face ( ... )

Still, she kept the grin, shaking her head. "Nope! I don't mind! It's really good to see you."

He absently rolled the top of his bag closed a little more tightly as he tried to decide whether she'd be annoyed if he mentioned it, then finally nodded toward her and hesitantly said, "Er, you're...um. Are you doing okay? I mean, if you, well, needed a healer..."

Kirk' eyes opened at the sound of the intercom, and for a second, feeling the weight of one fruitless, frustrating week settle on his bones, he didn't want to get up. But the nurse at his door, chiding them to get dressed quickly or else miss the bus, reminded him that it wasn't really his style to roll over and die. Kirk rubbed his face with both hands before donning the layers of clothing she'd left at the foot of his bed. Everyone else he saw upon stepping out of his room appeared to be dressed in the same mishmash variety of used garments ( ... )

He slid into the seat next to Kirk, setting the bag of food aside. It wasn't really anything he was particularly keen on eating. he'd wait until they got into town and have something there.
"I've been as well as can be expected," he said with a wry smile tugging the corners of his lips. "Yourself?"

So they got to spend a day on the town, huh? Somehow Terry didn't think it was going to be all nightclubs and greasy food joints. Especially not when his nurse produced an outfit that looked like it'd been rejected from the bargain bin at the charity shop. The jeans were fine, if a little ragged, but how anyone could have thought the sweater was a good idea fell beyond Terry's realm of understanding. And the nurse was expecting him to wear it? Slagging great ( ... )

"Huh?" he said, temporarily distracted by the assault on his vision. He caught up quickly enough, however, though the initial question still stood. "'Twips'?"
While he wasn't familiar with the term, the context did help suggest it's meaning well enough. "I suppose... I do have to wonder how much of this is on purpose, considering everything else that seems to happen around here."

Pulling out the hairbands that kept her red hair up, Asuka took the first and aimed it at the back of Brainiac's head. It unfortunately flew right over.
Well shit!
She tried again, aiming a little farther down at his neck. "Hey! Brainy boy!"

On the other hand, he didn't put up any resistance when the nurse handed him a pile of old clothes. They weren't too bad, even if they'd obviously seen some use, and nearly anything would be better than that uniform. He really couldn't ( ... )

He caught the voice of a young girl just as he washed the bit down with a swig of milk. She seemed a little hesitant, or maybe a little shy, so he did his best to seem friendly.
"Sure, sure, I's not a problem at all!" he greeted cheerfully. "My name's Battler. Yours?"

"My name is Naminé. It's a pleasure to meet you, Battler," The witch greeted him, her gaze shifting to the food he was holding in his hand. Was that what they got for breakfast? She hadn't looked at her own brown bag yet, wondering if some of the breakfasts were different or if they all got the same thing. It took a moment to find out, retreiving her own bagel from the bag.
"Have you been to Doyleton before?" Naminé figured that was a good way to discern how long Battler had been here, and although her information was likely outdated, perhaps she could help a little bit. In the meantime, she flattened the paper bag out on her lap to use as a "plate" of sorts for her breakfast.

Despite this, Yukari was feeling pretty happy on account of last night. It was just the kind of happy that was best enjoyed half-awake and snuggled up somewhere warm, like say, by a certain ninja, rather than fully conscious. So she wasn't really paying attention when the nurse dressed her in a tan baby doll T-shirt and purple jacket, complete with scarf along with the capris from last week's outfit, handed a bag and herded onto the bus ( ... )
