Day 48: Intercom, Morning
As everyone was finishing their delicious (and extremely fattening) breakfast, the intercom broadcasted with its usual jingle:
"Hello, hello, everyone, and I hope you enjoyed your meal! Now, children will be escorted to their respective showers for a good cleaning, as per usual, but I'm afraid the adults will need a little extra preparation. Nurses - if you'd be so kind as to bring them their outdoor shoes, along with some sweatshirts and coats? We don't want anyone to get cold outside, but we do want everyone to enjoy their fresh air, hmmm? Of course, if you absolutely must stay inside, you may do so in the Sun Room, and some patients, of course, will be attending therapy with their assigned doctors.
"I... believe that covers everything for now! Please don't hesitate to let your nurses know if you need any extra clothing for this shift."
The intercom clicked off.
