Unfortunately, he also had the feeling that - unlike the previous nights - this information slip was deliberate. Whatever the case, it didn't change his plans for the night. He'd rediscovered a flashlight underneath his pillow (a new one? his previous? it was hard to check for marks in the darkness), but picked up the antique radio as well, stuffing it into the small pocket of his coat. Their experience so far was already unsettlingly too much like a game - if that was a hint, he'd take it.
As he stepped out, Kirk hefted the comforting weight of his flashlight in one hand, but chose to move through the halls in the dark. The lack of light was only slightly worse than it had been in the Narada, and he'd managed himself just fine last night getting to McCoy's.
