"But if there's no swords around," he continued in a more serious tone, "I can improvise with a knife if I have to. My wits are my greatest weapon." He wasn't sure if Javert would believe him on that point, but Morgan hadn't either. Demonstrating such skills in cleverness and puzzle-solving wasn't easy, but he was sure he'd have a chance to prove himself somehow.
"I could use a guide, though," he added. "Let's go check on your friend, then we can worry about arming me with a blade or root beer or whatever works best on the undead folks around here."
