She could see down the hallway and slightly into the Sun Room from where she was standing, and she lowered her flashlight, not wanting whatever it was that

As he'd figured, the main hallway had people out already, and the first too-bright flicker of light completely wrecked any nightvision Raphael had up until then. Growling under his breath about stupid turtle luck, he dug out his own flashlight and flicked it on, figuring he could lose it again once he'd gotten upstairs where it was hopefully quieter.
Even that wasn't much of a distraction from what else had been weighing on his mind thus far, however. If Pinky was right, if it took longer than a few days or weeks to escape, if it was more like months and months or longer without any sign of his family, not knowing if they'd managed to survive the assault on the lair or not...
How could Raphael be expected to keep going like that? He'd been telling himself since he got here that he'd be out in a few days, that he'd find a way, come hell or high water, to get back home to his family. But if Pinky was right and he was wrong...
He wasn't wrong. Raphael was going to find the guy behind this and make it clear to him, with his fists if need be (and he hoped it would come down to that), that he had better send everyone home. Or else Raph would have to get more creative. That was all there was to it. He'd find Landel and beat him into submission, or die trying.
Business as usual.
His flashlight found the stairs exactly where they'd been when he'd gone upstairs the night before, and he silently padded towards them.
