A new room. Kairi entered the room with a heavy heart, knowing what was coming up. Nightshift was going to be ... well, she's just have to see. She only hoped that the chance in scenery didn't bother her too greatly; she still had no idea how the darkness would effect her, or if her long sleep had done something to the potency.

She'd just have to find out.

... And tell Riku. The longer she withheld the information, the worse it would get.

Still, despite feeling a bit sad, Kairi was curious to see who her new roommate was. She moved quickly to the bed that looked unused and sat down on it, looking at her food on her desk before suddenly remembering ...

The sword she had taken the night before she went to sleep! She had taken a few things from Rukia's side of the room that night, but most importantly was that sword.

Kairi quickly began looking under the bed, digging her hand around for anything that remotely felt like a sword. It just had to be there!

Hmm, Kagura, Ritsuka, Meche.... Ah, there were people she'd met yesterday she hadn't gotten to see! Hopefully they were all right. She couldn't go meet them at night; she had no idea where they went.

Night...she'd promised Kagura not to get into trouble, and Meche had warned her about that, too, but she didn't know what she could do! No, that wasn't quite right. Kagura had told her about the bats. Foraging for weapons in a madman's game...somehow, it just seemed very...familiar.

Yuna stepped into the room and blinked to find it already inhabited. "Oh, hello there!" This must be the roommate! ...What was she doing under the bed? "Are you looking for something?" Yuna asked as she approached the bed.

At the sound of the door opening, Kairi turned, her eyes hidden by stray red hairs that had flown to cover her face in her desperation to look for the sword. Standing up straight, she quickly fixed her appearance and smiled her normal bright smile, not wanting to give off a bad first impression.

"Hello! I'm Kairi. And ... oh," Turning towards her bed at the mention of it, She frowned, running her fingers through her hair for a second before sitting down on the bed to chat. "I was looking for something that my old roommate left that I took before she was ... wiped away."

Was this girl new? She had never seen her before, but then again she hadn't exactly been ... conscious recently. "What's your name?"

"I'm Yuna. Pleasure to meet you, Kairi!"

Yuna tilted her head at the bed. "Why was it under...?" No wait, more important question! "Old roommate? ...Wiped away?" And she'd thought, from Kairi's cute smile, that she'd heard all her sadnesses of the day.

Apprehensive, Yuna walked to the bed Kairi hadn't been looking under, and sat down. "...Can you...tell me more?" she said cautiously. Learning from Meche that patients attacked other patients had been a shock. That this place continued to have more shocks like that one was distressing, especially since it was pretty clear what Kairi meant. But this...it might not be what Yuna was thinking, right? This place was so different from what she was used to.

"Nice to meet you, Yuna." Kairi smiled to the girl and watched her sit down on the opposite bed, listening as she asked her to tell her more about the past situation. "Hm? No, I don't mind telling you ( ... )

"I've been here for a day. Two, counting today." Hmm...ah, so! It seemed not many people were from this world originally. The question of how long she'd been here seemed to be taken in stride by everyone else, and there was no reason Yuna could see for asking it unless everyone was...lost kidnapped. She'd neglected to ask anyone else who'd helped her this morning about that, unfortunately.

Asleep for days and days?! "Ah! Are you okay, then, Kairi?" Yuna got up again in distress. Erk, ow. That little pinpricks of soreness across her backside that she'd been experiencing the entire day didn't seem so little anymore. Yuna tried to be discreet while rubbing her arm as Kairi went on.

...Oh. People disappearing...it wasn't as bad as people dying before their time, was it? Yes. Yes, it was. And the not knowing was scary, too. What a terrible place....

"That's gr-" 'Great' tripped on Yuna's tongue, considering how Kairi had come to possess it, and she amended it to, "That's...good! I'm...I'm glad."

"I feel okay," Kairi said with a smile, staring down at the sword she had found for a few seconds before hiding it back under the mattress, just happy to know that it was there. Sora was going to be surprised! "So I guess that means that I'm okay? I won't really know for sure, I mean, things are different here."

Extremely different. She couldn't tell Yuna about what had happened when she had been experimented on; they had just met, and that was still a heavy piece of information that hung on her mind every second of the day. She didn't want to bother Yuna with that.

"It is good," Kairi said with a soft smile, sitting down on her bed. "It proves that she was here, that she was real, and that Landel's can't completely erase everyone away as if they were nothing."

"But enough of that!" She suddenly chirped, changing the subject. No need for heavy talk. "So. Where are you from?"
