After a quick nap and an awkward conversation with her roommate, Bella grabbed the flashlight that was under her pillow (at least someone finally told her.) and her map and snuck out into the darkness, remembering to glance at her room number before heading down the hallway

Franken Stein’s monster? What did that mean?
It was a reference Tsubaki didn’t understand beyond the strange novel she’d only just begun to read, and for a moment, she held her pillow case to her chest, listening for some kind of explanation for all of… this. Of course none came. At the sound of a door closing, a frown turned her lips. And then there was nothing but fading static until the unlocking of the doors announced the beginning of a new nightshift.
Well… Tsubaki chose not to waste any more time pondering the unanswerable, at least not that night.
In parting ways with Rein, she left the mystery of the Head Doctor’s words and the references to her professor behind; putting the pillowcase bag over her shoulder, Tsubaki, dressed in her ninja clothing, set out for the main hallway beyond. There were so many things she needed to address, but so much of it couldn’t be done under the threat night’s presented. What she could do, though, was try and put a stop to at least one of those threats.
