Night 46: M61-70 Hallway

Jan 03, 2010 02:52

Prowl listened to the radio, the door and the halls outside. It seemed the night had officially begun. Now...he had to wait. Just a while so that Lockdown wouldn't realise how close they were. Prowl had to be prepared for failure, even if he didn't want to consider it. Lockdown could overpower him or escape and Prowl would have to face him again. ( Read more... )

It was time. Prowl would be arriving soon. If he didn't decide to ditch, that is. Lockdown would just track him down if the ninjabot tried to run. There was also the matter of Prowl probably wanting to hurt him. If that happened, Lockdown would have to overpower him, probably tie him up and go off by himself.

Lockdown got prepared, getting his axe and knife, and stood near the door, red eyes fixed on the dark hallway. He also gave HK a quick glance and said, "Have fun tonight, kiddo. Try not to die."

HK grabbed his own armaments, heading out the door. "Statement: Both are very high on my list of priorities." He scanned the hall for any infrared signatures, detecting none. "Advisory: Try not to get killed by your new toy." He set off. If Lockdown had any undue injuries by tomorrow, HK reserved the right to laugh at him.

Once Prowl felt he had waited long enough he stood up and took a deep breath. It felt good. All this human business felt good. Weaker and more complicated, stiffer and awkward. But good.

He was going to miss it if this didn't work.

Once he had bid farewell to his roommate he set out, stick hanging loosely by his side, wondering if he shouldn't just shadow Ratchet. But where would he begin to look for the old bot?

His thoughts snapped back to reality as he saw Lockdown in the doorway, ready and waiting. The stick came up without a second thought and Prowl leaped at Lockdown, aiming the point at his gut.

Lockdown was quick to react, grabbing the stick and Prowl's hand, quickly pivoting so Prowl was pinned against the wall. He'd half-expected that. Luckily this meatbag body hadn't robbed him of all his reflexes.

"Nice try, kid," Lockdown growled into Prowl's audio. "I'd settle down and behave if I were you. Unless you want me to tie you to my bed and go off without ya'."

"Settle? When you stand there with weapons? I won't fall so easily," He growled, swinging a leg up, aiming for Lockdown's gut again but not all all incapable of striking him between the legs. Grabbing the arm pinning him, he pushes it in time with the kick.

Lockdown released Prowl and leapt backwards, but the kick still managed to hit him in the thigh. Grunting in pain, Lockdown aimed a roundhouse at Prowl, aiming for his side, trying to knock him to the side. While this was going on, he was already coming up with a plan to subdue Prowl without causing the ninjabot too much harm.

Prowl cut away to the side, the punch didn't connect, but the action threw him off all the same. He wasn't used to this body. There were glitches, pains, dull thrumming aches. Not many, but enough for him to be conscious he wasn't used to this.

He took a defensive pose, trying to work a plan to get one of Lockdown's weapons.

That didn't work the way he'd planned, but at least the ninjabot was distracted enough. The ninjabot still wasn't used to his body yet. But the bounty hunter was.

Lockdown quickly leapt back into his room and ripped the sheet off his bed. He then lundged forward, throwing the sheet on top of Prowl and wrapping his arms tightly around the ninjabot, trapping the younger bot.

Prowl wasn't expecting that. While he was supposed to be able to cope with the element of surprise....it was never THAT surprising. He tried to kick out. It couldn't end like this! Ratchet was alone, Prowl hadn't ended Lockdown and.... this wasn't the first time he was going offline.

Lockdown managed to wrestle Prowl down to the ground, getting them both on their knees, the bounty hunter never once loosening his grip.

"If you're smart you'll give up," Lockdown said. The more they stayed here and fought the more chance it gave to something unwanted showing up. "Don't make me tie you up and toss you in my room for the night."

Prowl didn't like being wrapped up like this. Breathing became difficult and thick. So he settled. If that was what Lockdown wanted, fine. Prowl would strike when least expected.

"See, that wasn't so hard, was it?" Though Prowl had relaxed, Lockdown still held him tightly. There was no guarantee that the cyberninja wouldn't just attack him again once. "By the Allspark, kid, even Lugnut knows this ain't the place for fightin'. You really wanna be stuck below Lugnut in the smarts section?" Okay, that wasn't entirely true. Lugnut had wanted to maim Starscream here for everything his counterpart had put Megatron through. Still, Lockdown wasn't above lying. Nor was he above wounding Prowl's ego in an attempt to get him to see things the bounty hunter's way.

"Don't move," Keeping one arm looped around the ninjabot, Lockdown used his other hand to take out his knife and cut a small slit in the sheet where Prowl's mouth was, just enough for him to speak without being muffled. Lockdown then put the knife away and replaced his arm around Prowl.

Prowl wasn't going to speak until the cover was removed, but that didn't stop him grunting. There was little Prowl cared about right now besides Lockdown's down fall.

He frowned as Lockdown messed with the sheet and was almost glad for the cover, just so it could hide his expression. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me." Hatred and disdain washed through him and he tensed. "Take this cover off. Now."

"You think I'm that dumb?" Lockdown asked sarcastically. However, he was stil aware that they couldn't just stand in this hallway all night. People might start to notice them sooner or later, and that might draw unwanted attention.

"Okay, I'll take the sheet off. But if you attack me, it's going right back on." He loosened his grip on Prowl and eased the sheet off, body tensing in preparation for a possible retaliation from the ninjabot.

Prowl was careful not to move. The slightest flinch might set Lockdown off on another crazy attack and Prowl really wasn't up for it. His next attack had to be the last.

"You may release me now," he said, stiffly. It was an easy hold to break but he still wasn't taking the chances until he had the axe in his hands.

Lockdown slowly released Prowl, holding his axe behind him and out of the ninjabot's reach. He wasn't going to get it that easily. Holding up his free hand in a gesture of peace, the bounty hunter backed away a few steps.

"What's wrong with you? I offer you help and you attack me?" It was actually a very generous gesture when it came to the bounty hunter. He could have easily told Prowl to slag off and fend for himself, as he'd done to countless others in the past. But Prowl was different. He respected Prowl, even, dare he say it, liked him. Prowl was one of the few individuals who Lockdown felt deserved his assistance.
