He turned his mind to the issue of Captain Kirk. Upon further reflection, it was painfully obviously that he'd been brainwashed or at least had fallen to Stockholm syndrome. What would cause that so quickly though, was a mystery to Chekov. It had to be something akin to brainwashing--short term brainwashing at least. Or possession ( Read more... )

It wasn't particularly crowded yet, so it made traveling somewhat difficult. There was little light, but that also meant that not many others were out and the night was still in its early stages. If they hurried, they just might make it to their destination tonight.

Maybe this isn't a good idea after all...

The darkness around him was imposing, nearly choking him as hard as he tightly clutched his flashlight. Stephen had to stop for a moment, taking deep breaths in order to keep from panicking.

It was just like in his dreams...

The teen swallowed hard, casting a glance towards the lower end of the hallway. The urge to go back was as strong as ever, and yet he realized something. The chances of meeting her, no less actually talking to her, were practically nonexistent, but Stephen knew he had to try regardless. While he didn't know where Dolores's room was (Sync did, but that was impossible...), he would've felt better if he at least tried to wait her in the female patient block.

That was near here, wasn't it? He'd passed it time and time again, but never had he actually stepped inside...

Though Scar knew these halls well by now thanks to having traveled them so often, and despite being able to see well enough in the dark, he still traced his hand across the wall as he walked.

Though he had collected the monsters roaming this building and beyond stayed clear of the patient quarters, Tenzen did not allow his guard down as he continued to move through the darkness. One creature being bold enough to slip could mean death for an unexpected patient, and though death was hardly a threat to an immortal ninja such as him, this Landel Institute left little room to take such risks.
