Once Bella’s hand touched the corner of the wall, she followed it slowly, her feet stumbling over themselves for a few seconds before she finally got her footing. “Stupid ... disorientating darkness,” she muttered to herself, her cheeks flushed from the thought of falling. That certainly wasn’t high up there on her

Aerith didn't find herself having much luck with the next hallway she picked to turn down. Was she the only one awake? No, it hadn't sounded like it from the man on the intercom's tone. It would be silly to think this had all been set in motion for her benefit. With a slight huff, Aerith continued on her way in the darkness. Thank Gaia she'd managed to find that flashlight...

With something at least resembling a plan this time and the guarantee of armed escort, Hime was starting this night better than the last. Hopefully it would also end better.
As she left the female block, she found herself idly wondering how Kagura and Sokka were doing. Perhaps she'd meet them out in the hallway. She hadn't seen them all day. However, if they were suffering from a bout of recovery, then it would be best to avoid them. They'd just be a hindrance.

Hanna eventually found the way out of the patient block.
Namely, by walking right into it.
"Ow," she whined, nursing her nose. What a dumb thing to do, walkin' into a door! That it was pitch black wasn't really an excuse; if this hallucination was turning out to be disturbingly real, chances were that there was a flashlight somewhere around in her bedroom. Hadn't there always been, every other night? Assuming that it really was real, anyway. Which it might not be. Hell, she'd hallucinated getting hurt before. A bop on the nose didn't prove anything!
Still grumbling, the teenager sidled out into the wider corridor.

He couldn't do it.
While Stephen barely managed to remain calm on his way over, he became nothing more than a bundle of nerves by the time he stepped into the female block. His body was overcome with a violent shudder, and for the time being he was forced to lean on a nearby wall for support.
The teen knew he was stupid; why would Dolores want to listen to him, much less even talk? The thought stressed Stephen more than he would've liked, his stomach protesting angrily. All of a sudden Stephen lurched forward, eyes wide in horror as he slapped a hand over his mouth.
The teen pushed himself off the wall, staggering desperately towards the bathroom.

By the time Claude had reached the next hallway, he barely managed to see Sync slip into the bathroom -- the women's bathroom, no less. That was definitely weird. He couldn't help but think that Sync must have had some sort of ulterior motive. Why else would he make a detour from Anise's room?
Pressed against the wall again, Claude debated on whether he should wait for Sync to come out, or if he ought to follow him inside. It was possible that if he went into the bathroom too quickly that he'd be walking straight into a trap. On the other hand, Claude wasn't sure why he was in there in the first place. Maybe it was better to stop him before he managed to get further with anymore plans of his.
Sweat collected on his palms, and his grip on his sword tightened. Claude forced himself to take slow, even breaths and tried not to dwell on the fact that Guy's murderer was in the next room. After about a full minute, however, the wait became unbearable. The darkness that pressed in on him only made standing outside ( ... )
