[running in from here]Klavier immediately closed the door behind him, pressing his back against it as though to prevent anyone or anything from barging in after him. He tried to quell his breathing and concentrate on listening for any sounds of pursuit or danger. Several moments passed with nothing but the sound of his heart pounding in his ears. Several minutes passed, but nothing happened. He frowned slightly to himself, admittedly uncomfortable by the profound quiet of the room. Shouldn't he have been relieved there weren't signs of anything foul lurking about? For some reason, he couldn't quite shake a sense of restlessness. Actually, he only now was aware of a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, a feeling that had been lingering in the distance since entering the room but was suddenly flaring to the point of being distracting. It was that distinct sensation of having forgotten something important. He absolutely could not stand that feeling. It weighed down in his chest like an irritating itch. What was it? What could he have--

Klavier suddenly stopped in his steps, blood freezing in realization. What was he... doing? He'd run in here and left both Nigredo and Rubedo behind! Without so much as giving them a second thought! How could he have done such... a.... He frowned for a moment, mind grinding to a halt, then turned around to glare irritably at the door he'd walked in through. Nigredo.

There was little doubt in his mind. He thought he'd made perfectly clear that he didn't want that done to him ever again! And of all things, to force him away when Nigredo and Rubedo were hurt, when there was a catastrophe doing on in that room. There was always the hope that the two had managed to get out and into another nearby room, but... Klavier might have been an optimist, but he was a realist. Rubedo had been shot somewhere and Nigredo had been winded and was bleeding heavily from some kind of wound. The chances of them slipping out quickly in such states was incredibly slim.

He grit his teeth and immediately headed for the door, pushing back both fear and a well-buried anger. No need for thought or consideration. No need to think about the danger and how ill prepared he was. None of it mattered. If they were still in that room, there wasn't even a question.
