Brainiac 5 felt bad about lying to his roommate, but he had no intentions of staying in his room or seeking company for what he planned to do tonight. But he knew Peter wouldn't have left him alone if he'd known, so the lie had been... necessary.

Even if he wished it wasn't.

There wasn't anything he could do about it now, and he knew there'd be more lies in the future between them. There was no way that Peter would understand how getting rid of Grell permanently was necessary. That there simply wasn't any other way to neutralise the threat he posed in this environment. You couldn't lock him away when they were already locked away. Couldn't warn people when they seemed happy to look the other way or worse, stand up for or join Grell's side.

Which meant there was only one real solution, and one he was going to have to prepare for tonight.

He double checked his flashlight and the pillowcase he'd grabbed from his bed to use as a makeshift bag. Then Brainiac 5 continued down the hallway, and anyone who might have noticed him wouldn't have been able to tell that earlier that night he'd nearly managed to forget everything that had been bothering him since he arrived here.
