When Sync's tone changed, Anise's struggling stopped, as though against her own will. At the same time, she felt even more anger welling up inside her. That bastard.
Before Anise could say any of the angry words that sat just at the tip of her tongue, Dahlia burst through the door and soon threw herself on the girl, crying. Oops, that was right. The last time Dahlia saw her, she was...
"H-hey, don't make such a big scene! I'm just fine!" she assured her hastily, momentarily forgetting about Sync. It was kind of touching that she got that upset, considering they only knew each other for a day or so. Maybe Dahlia was the sort of person who got attached easily.
...And that sort of caring person was wrapped up in a scheme as twisted as this one. The thought of it made Anise feel sick.
As they slowed down, Anise couldn't help but glance over at the hall leading to the men's blocks. Guy's group was going to be coming from that way soon, weren't they? As much as Anise hated relying on others, and she dreaded the moment when Guy would realize how much she hid from him, she was kind of counting on him this time.
The God-General had to refrain from rolling his eyes the moment Dahlia came through the door, wrapping her arms around Anise and causing a scene. Her whole act was kind of nauseating to watch, but the fact that she was actually there in the first place was enough to calm his stomach for now. He allowed the redhead to drag them out into the main hallway, immediately taking the lead once she let go.
"We'll be going straight down until we reach the Sun Room," Sync responded with a smile.
Unlike Anise, he had no idea which one of the patient blocks housed Claude and Guy's rooms, which only fueled him to go even faster in order to keep a good distance between them.
