[From here.]By the time Sync made it out of his block his eyes were beginning to adjust to the darkness. This meant that he was less inclined to keep close to the wall and instead moved briskly down the hallway. Yet despite his speedy pace, the God-General made sure to listen in for any noises from anything that could be lingering nearby. The last ( Read more... )

This hallway, too, seemed to be deserted. Of course, that did not mean it was an excuse to let his guard down; there was always the lingering chance of an ambush.

In the few days he had been here, Tenzen had already memorized this route. He needed no aid from even his flashlight as he silently moved along the wall. Moving stealthily was a basic skill for a ninja, after all.

After passing through the door, he stopped completely and simply... listened. Nothing. No signs of anything. Again.

He took a deep silent breath and moved as quietly as possible. He was in an unknown area, a section he'd never been to before. It was by patient rooms and should have been frequently traveled, but that didn't make it any safer than any other section of the building.

Klavier needed to keep his strength and resolve firm. Letting dread muddle his thoughts wasn't going to get him anwhere, and considering what he was potentially getting himself into, he could use all the strength he could manage. He opened the door to his left, sweeping inside with his light before stepping inside.

As Junior continued down through the main hall and up the next, he couldn't help but think that at least the good thing about having the head doctor back was that he at least seemed cocky enough to partially forewarn the patients, and in all the time he'd been here, there hadn't been all that many unexpected surprises, like what had happened last night.

Just one more hall to go, and he'd be just about there. Lockon paused to take one last look around him for danger, then headed onwards.

This should be the correct block. Sai peered into the next hall but saw no sign yet of Sakura. He may be able to get his task completed before she arrived. That would be optimal.
