Momo felt good having a plan in mind. She would meet up with the ninja after the star-crossed girl showed up for her healing. Noting Celes asleep once back in the room, Momo gave her a small smile. It seemed the general had needed her rest and Momo was not about to stir her from it ( ... )

"Normally, I would not comment, but there is a certain amusement to be had from watching you talk to your weapon," Celes murmured as she sat up in bed. It felt as if she'd slept for hours and hours, and the dream had been so far off and lovely it was a damned shame to have to wake up from it.

"Also, if you're going to be using that position, spread your legs a little wider, and put more weight on your left leg." The general lazed on her bed for a moment. In her dream, there had been dancing, and Noah, and a petulant Luxord.

A good dream, but one unlikely to ever come true. Especially not with Luxord, not any more.

Momo started a little when Celes spoke up, a tiny bit of color rising to the shinigami's cheeks. She'd thought Celes was in a deep sleep and wouldn't be bothered by her quiet, probably one-sided conversation with Laevatein.

"Oh, Chere! I thought you were asleep. My apologies for waking you. I thought we could keep it down. And thank you," she replied, adjusting her stance according to the general's advise. "I am not familiar with the style needed to wield Laevatein properly, so I was trying to go off of my memories." Which wasn't the best way to learn a new style, but it was all Momo had available at the time.

"It's fine, you didn't wake me. I think I've slept quite enough." Losing an entire day to sleep wasn't something she dared make a habit of, however. There was an edge she needed to maintain for her continued survival in the institute.

Celes fingercombed her hair, working out the knots, and eyed her roommate. "That's a much better position. You'll be using your left leg to push off of, and it will give you more mobility for your right side."

"You've been out for the whole day. I was worried when I hadn't seen you in showers," Momo replied. "I hope everything is alright."

The stance did feel much better and having mobility for her right side was important given her eyes, She hated having such a handicap, but there wasn't anything she could do about it. She would learn and adapt. The shinigami simply held the stance, getting a feel for it.

"I think I was just truly exhausted." Celes replied. "There is no other explanation I can think of." She'd spent every evening for nearly a month running in an insane asylum, really, Celes was surprised she'd not fallen into a deep sleep sooner. She poked at the cooling food on her try.

"You appear to be in better spirits, Lady Hinamori. I trust today went well?" Her hair felt oddly clean, now that she thought about it. Had they bathed her without her knowledge?

Well, that was a new level of disturbing she'd not considered.

"It has," Momo replied, making a slow controlled cut with the damaged sword to see how different it felt from her katana.

"I have a path I want to pursue and hopefully a group I can trust to join me on it," she continued. "I will see if we are all compatible as allies tonight." A pause. "Hitsugaya had left you a note earlier today wishing to speak with you. I suggest talking to him tomorrow."

"I'll keep it in mind," Celes promised and chose to forgo her meal, instead, stepping around Momo to the closet so that she could dress. "I hope I haven't worried too many of my allies," she added as she pulled of her shirt. Dressing was a quick affair, as she shimmied into her pants and laced them up.

"Lift your elbow slightly," she added as she pulled on her corslet, watching Momo intently. "You'll get better balance for the next strike."

Taking Celes' words into consideration, the general had used the broadsword that had once been Signum's very well, Momo repeated the motion, lifting her elbow a bit in the process. She smiled, feeling the difference.

"It is rather different to use Laevatein than it is Tobiume and or of the katanas I've used here," Momo replied. "Would you be willing to help me learn the style so I can at least not embarrass Laevatein when the sword is repaired?"
