Day 44: Lunch

That had been a very frustrating shower. For many reasons. At least Raine was going to at least look at Forte. Hopefully, she'll actually heal him. The showers had also succeeded in making the ninja feel like a pervert. A mild one, but still... It was as if Yukari had picked that spot in the showers because she knew the ninja could easily see ( Read more... )

Okay, what was he expected to choke down this time? Lockdown recognized the burgers and fries from that brief meal he'd had at Tastey Burger in Doyleton. Might as well eat something he was familiar with, he figured. Primus only knew what the other stuff tasted like.

After getting some juice, the bounty hunter found an empty table near the back. Luckily the cafeteria was still mostly deserted, so he did't have any trouble finding a place to himself. Once he was seated, Lockdown began nibbling on his burger.

[Unknowingly waiting for Honey]

Arts and Crafts had been plenty of fun and helping Kurt with his fingerpaints while learning more about him had been a great way to spend time. He hadn't seen much of his friends today though. Takashi posted on the bulletin, but so far, no sign of Tamaki or the twins ( ... )

The only aknowledgement Lockdown gave the nurse was a slight shift of his optics in her direction. He was about to take a bite out of a french fry, but the food stopped just short when he saw who the nurse had stuck him with. It was some kid with a smile just as annoying as the nurses' and some kind of soft... Lockdown guessed it was a toy or something, designed to look like some animal or other.

He was about to tell the kid to 'slag off' when the name struck him. The bounty hunter glared at the kid. "Honey? You the Honey. The slagger who puts all those annoying messages on the bulletin?"

Honey wasn't sure what slagger meant, but he was pretty sure with the stink-eye Lance was giving him that it didn't mean cute, adorable, or precious. For now, he took up the teary-eyed auto defense, lower lip pouting out with a slight quiver as he held Usa-chan even tighter to his chest.

When he looked up at the man's angry eyes, he seemed almost ready to cry. "Uwaa.... I'm Honey, but... but I didn't mean to be annoying. I thought it would be fun. Did I do something bad?"

Lockdown rolled his optics when the kid started getting all teary-eyed. "Trust me, you and I got very different ideas of 'fun'," Speaking of which, maybe he could have some 'fun' with this kid. Consider it payback for all those times he replaced Lockdown's messages with those annoying 'cutsified' versions.

Time to let Honey know exactly who he was dealing with. Lockdown smirked, "My idea of fun would involve a meeting of my chainsaw mod and your head."

There were a number of people that could've been annoyed with the recent bulletin posts, but when he mentioned the chainsaw and mod stuff, Honey was pretty sure he knew exactly who it was. And he also knew that the man wasn't a good person, not at all. Honey closed his teary eyes for a moment, sighing quietly to himself. There was teasing and then there was stopping people who really were bad.

When he opened his eyes again, there was little of the cute, doe-like look they'd had before. He glared right back, mouth set in a thin line. "I'm not going to be bullied. Definitely not by a meanie like you."

Lockdown's smirk faded for a moment when Honey's tone suddenly changed. He wasn't expecting that. Especially not from a whimpy kid like this. Nonetheless, he brushed it off quickly and his smirk returned.

"No? And just what are ya' gonna do about it?" He replied sardonically.

The Haninozuka clan had a long-standing history of prestigious and skilled fighters and even today, they often taught not just military, but special ops and other forces in various forms of combat. Mitsukuni, called a prodigy by many, had defeated the family head before he even turned eighteen. So when he told Lockdown that he wasn't afraid, that he wasn't going to let someone twice his size bully him, he meant it.

"I would hope we could talk out our problems and work together to stop the bad people who're already keeping us here," he said, setting the toy rabbit on his lap and picking up the hamburger from his plate. The darkened expression didn't leave his face though, even as he took a bite and chewed it thoughtfully. "But you seem to like scaring and bullying people. That's not very helpful."

Lockdown chuckled. So the kid thought he wasn't helpful. It was true that Lockdown liked 'scaring and bullying' people, but that was just because he was sadistic like that. The bounty hunter, and those who knew him, knew just how dangerous he was. He also trusted that someone would find and kill Landel before long. There had to be at least a few hundred inmates here.

"Well, ain't you the little Autobot," Lockdown mused.

host_club_honey September 28 2009, 02:05:27 UTC
Autobot? Oh, that's right, he was one of those transforming robots. Even though he sure didn't look the part now. To be honest, the situation was a little out of his expertise. Honey'd handled plenty of threats against the host club in the past, but those were usually done with words and plenty of Kyoya's veiled threats. Honey was only brought in as a sort of point-and-shoot maneuver. If it was an emotional problem, he could help his friends through it. If it was a villain threat, he could probably take 'em down with a few well-placed kicks, but the things inbetween? Well, it wasn't like he wanted to hurt Lockdown.

"As long as your bullying is targeted toward the real bad guys in this place, we shouldn't have a problem, right?"

Lockdown shrugged, "Whatever, kid."

He still wasn't gonna let Honey tell him what to do. He could 'bully' anyone he damn well pleased, be them innocents or the slaggers running this place. Of course, the bounty hunter was going to make Landel pay when he was finally caught. He'd get his real body back again, and be back on the Death's Head, yet.

Honey sighed again, eyes softening as he looked back down at his tray and tried not to make a mess of his burger. He took another bite. This was definitely one of those awkward and uncomfortable conversations. And there wasn't even cake to help anything. Well, he wasn't about to move after the nurse had made him come sit. But it didn't mean he had to play nice.

"Don't call me kid," he said after a moment.

Lockdown let the kilks of silence carry on, nibbling on fries. When Honey spoke again, the bounty hunter murmered, "What, you one of those old guys trapped in a young body or somethin'?" There seemed to be a lot of those going around. Lockdown himself even sort of qualified as one. While he was actually at least seven million stellar cycles old, his current body was that of a middle-aged man. Sure, his current body wasn't exactly young, but it was close enough.

Honey glanced up from his burger, ketchup staining his face here and there, though he made no move to grab for his napkin.

"Huh? No, I'm eighteen." He knew full well he looked younger, that was part of the appeal, but it wasn't like it bothered him. "I just don't like being called that. It's not cute when you say it." Neither was slagger or anything else he'd been called, but, well...

On a subconscious level, Honey knew it was nitpicking. But sometimes he just felt like acting childish. And when he was upset? That was when it was hardest of all to act mature.

Eighteen, huh? Well, that still sounded pretty young for a fleshie. Of course, to Cybertronians any age under under one-hundred was considered to be practially a freshly-sparked protoform.

Lockdown snorted, "Yeah, well, in case you were too much of a bolthead to notice, I don't do 'cute'." What was with this kid and his weird obbsession with everything cute?

He didn't have to keep name-calling either. Honey might be feeling snippy, but he wasn't calling the man names. Ugh, it felt like he was being punished or something, having to sit with this man-robot. Why couldn't he be a nice robot? Like the giant mecha ones that saved the world and stuff.

Well, he could always pretend he was just hosting for a really obnoxious client. But even then, usually Kyouya was good at keeping those sort of people far, far away. And if that didn't work, Takashi was always with him. Only right now, he wasn't.

"How do you know you don't like it? Have you tried to like cute things?" the question was asked with a tiny amount of actual curiosity, though he didn't expect much of an answer from the man.
