Soubi was restless. Demyx had provided a distraction from thoughts of Seimei and Soubi had other things to distract him once he was with Ritsuka. Now he just had to make sure Kio was sticking around and not sneaking off

Soubi shook his head. He couldn't let himself believe this. "No." He was still shaking his head softly as Kio stood closer. Why was he saying these things, insisting on it? He looked into Kio's eyes, hoping to find a reason there. This was cruel. Just like that man. Nisei. But Kio moved closer and closer until their lips met. And Soubi didn't move.
Kio was just adding another layer of confusion to this massive confusion...onion... that was building around Soubi.
He closed his eyes and clutched onto Kio's shirt as he pulled away. That had almost been nice. It also made Soubi wonder what exactly everyone thought he was good for. Kisses were... important. Usually the kisses he craved and never received.
His grip tightened and he put his forehead to Kio's shoulder. He had to keep it together to see Ritsuka. He'd feel safe around Ritsuka. And terribly sad because he'd lose the boy in the end. If there was a choice, the brothers would chose each other over Soubi. Or, worse still, Soubi would stay, so close to Ritsuka but distanced.
"Don't tell him," he whispered. It was bad enough that Seimei would ignore Soubi...but Ritsuka? He pressed himself closer to his friend, forcing out thoughts he knew he shouldn't think. Should he? Where did he belong....
He pushed himself away, not looking at Kio once, and moved along the corridor, wiping his face. "I need to to exchange something for me, outside Ritsuka's block," he said, oddly detached.
Kio couldn't protect him, not from Seimei.
