The assassin’s mind remained focused on the little key, turning the information over in his mind. They had left him not only a means to light the empty, seemingly unguarded hallways, kept the door unlocked, but also gave him a key to lock the door behind him if he wished to, despite having taken him against his will. This wasn’t the doing of the IPF, that was obvious enough. Could it have been the Post War Administration Bureau?
