[From hereAfter he made it up, Hitsugaya fell to his knees, and took a deep breath. That was too damn close. Adrenalin was through his veins; blood was pumping in his ears

Oh, God...it was all rushing back to Porky...all the memories of the Phase Distorter and how he had tried to time travel with an imperfect device...suddenly, Porky was right back in the cockpit, reliving the moment.
Hee hee hee...That stupid Andonuts was too dumb to plan ahead! If he had any brains, he would've guarded this thing with more than a Mr. Saturn! Now get in there, you stupid pig-butt!
K-Kay-O! Don'T hUrt, YeS?
Maybe. If you listen to me, that is...now, which button do I press to start this thing up? Ah, it must be this big button right here! Stupid Andonuts! He didn't even make it difficult to control!
...Wait...what's happening?!All of a sudden, Porky snapped back to reality. A jolt of pain shot up his left arm, and he could barely hold back a scream of pure agony. He couldn't bear to look at his arm, but he had to if he was to have any chance of figuring out what was wrong with him. His left arm was almost rotting away. It was gray and mottled

The sight of Porky's skin made Hokuto's stomach turn over again; what had happened to him?! Any thought of going to him was firmly denied, though, when he told them to stay away... or, more precisely, not let HIM get near them.
"Okay," she said, looking at Hitsugaya in a silent Now what?!
As much as she hadn't wanted to think about it, the bite mark combined with how Porky's skin seemed to be suddenly rotting led her to a swift, hard-to-dispute conclusion: he'd been bitten by a zombie and now he was infected.
Hollowfication... was the first thing that ran through Hitsugaya's mind when he saw Porky. Unnatural. Abomination. Chaos that goes against nature. Just like those monsters below. Because shinigami exist to maintain the world's spiritual balance from distortions like Hollows, the sight before Hitsugaya disturbed him. The only thing that stayed Hitsugaya's hand was that Porky still seemed to have his soul, unlike those empty vessels below.
Hitsugaya could see and feel Porky fighting against the infection violating his body. The decrepit looking skin reminded him of a movie he watched at Orihime's; Matsumoto had dragged him away from his paper work (that Matsumoto was supposed to be working on) to watch it. Night of the Living Dead was it? Why hadn't he remembered until now. In the movie, if a zombie bit you, then your fate was sealed - you became one of them. It seemed like Porky was undergoing a similar transformation, but Hitsugaya wasn't ready to give up hope just yet

"It...hurts..." Porky muttered weakly, tears streaming down his face, "Why does this hurt so much?"
By now, the infection had spread to Porky's mouth and down into his throat. Porky suddenly began wheezing, a spurt of blood accompanying each cough. All Porky could do was try to resist the urge to bite Hitsugaya and Hokuto. But...but they smelled so good! Porky hadn't even eaten dinner, too...Ah, he was so hungry...so very hungry...
Porky slowly rose from his crouch and began to hobble forward. He only managed to walk a few steps before he lowered again, though.
Dammit! You can't give in, Porky! Porky thought to himself, Other weaklings might give in, but not you! You're stronger than them! You're better than them!In an act of pure desperation, Porky suddenly bit down on his right arm and started tearing into it. Oh, God...why did his arm taste so good? This wasn't right! In fact, if it weren't for the excruciating pain that accompanied Porky's "meal," there was a good chance that Porky could have eaten his entire arm off. The

It was hard not to whimper... or throw up again.
