Being inside a building, the setting of the sun was not as prevalent as it would have been outdoors. Beatrix had enjoyed a pleasant meal alone after she had left the elf and her companion outside. She'd just been getting up, folding her napkin to set on her plate at the behest of her nurse, then the change came. Being right next to her nurse, it

He gulped the last of his drink, figuring that any energy he could get would be a good idea now before anything got inside (oh god there were zombies and they were outside and every horror movie Tsukasa had ever seen came flooding back in hideous clarity). He held a hand out towards Endrance, narrowing his eyes as he focussed. "Repth," he whispered. The spell ripped out of him, a glow surrounding Endrance and the mad thought that it really did look like it did in the game flashed through Tsukasa's mind. It lasted for a few moments before He slumped a little, the glow vanishing, and he squeezed his eyes shut for a moment to ward off the headache. Finally he looked back up at Endrance again. "Better?"

It wasn't a moment too soon, either, as one of the creatures staggered in from the front door. The feel of having a long chef's knife on hand as opposed to a longer, thinner blade was different, yes, but the approach he took towards it was still largely the same - careful steps to avoid flailing limbs, then one quick stab to its abdomen. Endrance wrinkled his nose at the mess the zombie left behind, then stepped back, wrapping up the second knife he'd taken in a set of cloth napkins and carefully tucking that into the waistband of his pants. It wasn't terribly elegant, but would do for now.
"How are you holding up?", he called back, keeping an eye out for anything else.

Only when it seemed that Endrance was managing to take care of it did Tsukasa duck back into the kitchen, looking around for something to use as a weapon. Knives were good, and he grabbed a long one, nothing too heavy because if he was using it a lot, his arm would get tired. Haseo could take it if they found him. No, when they found him. But for himself, while he wished for a staff, he couldn't imagine a broom handle doing very much damage so he grabbed a solid looking frying pan instead.
"I'm fine," he called back before emerging, pan clutched in both hands. "Should we barricade the door?"

"I..." He paused, trying to clear his head enough to think with any kind of strategy. "I don't know. I think someone may be trying it? But I'm concerned about the others..."

"We'd need to barricade all of the windows too," he said quietly to Endrance. "Maybe we should find Haseo and Leon. I don't know if it's a good idea to trap ourselves in here."

This wasn't anything like the fight last night had been - it was bloodier, more visceral. Even the amplification AIDA had provided hadn't made things feel like this.
"I think you're right," he said, in a quiet, determined voice, then stepped out the front door.
