Akihiko scanned the courtyard for anything - or anyone - suspicious, and let out a quiet sigh of relief when he didn't see or hear anything nearby. There were sounds of a fight from over one wall, but as long as the fight didn't move up and over it, they were in the clear. "I think we're good," he said, nodding to Mitsuru and Ken.
"Don't be nervous," he told the boy, though that was a feat they all knew would be easier said than done. "You'll be fine." Now definitely wasn't the time to go into the laundry list of things that could go wrong here. All three of them were aware of the dangers. There wasn't really any way to avoid them, and it was better to find out their exact limits in what was a relatively safe situation. It wasn't perfect, but it would have to do.
