Far to the northwest was his destination: an old supply shed that contained items that he would find marginally useful to defend himself -- at least until he could acquire something better. As much

Though his concern about his friend was completely forgotten when he heard the sound of a car and turned to see just that racing toward two of the patients. "Watch out!" he yelled without thinking, taking a step toward them. Luckily, the two managed to dodge, but then the car transformed into something else entirely.
Sora might have been more shocked to see such a large robot if he hadn't gone up against similar enemies in the past. This robot didn't really match up to the Ice Titan, for instance. Still, the fact that something like this was here was pretty surprising...
He wasn't sure if he should try to help the two patients who were being terrorized, although it looked like they were making the decision to retreat. That might be the best idea, since Sora didn't really know how he and Allen were going to get past the robot -- if Allen ever showed up, that is.

It was a straight shot from the hall outside, so he ran the rest of the way, pausing only when he got to the door. There was a lot of noise, but then, that was quickly becoming the usual. He opened the door and crept outside, looking up to see the giant robot on the field.
As he turned to see who else was already outside though, at least it looked like he hadn't missed Sora. Though Allen had no desire to mess with anything that looked like one of Komui's inventions. The last giant robot that man had created had been a disaster and he'd nearly been operated on!
"Sora!" he called out as he ran over. Hopefully they could make it over the wall while that thing was still talking with the other people. Then again... maybe it would be better to take a different route.

"Allen!" he greeted back, pushing off of the wall and taking a few steps toward his friend. He knew now wasn't the best time to be getting into a conversation, but he couldn't let things stay unresolved between them. The other boy didn't seem to be obviously upset with him, but Sora also knew people could hide things like that.
"I'm... really sorry about last night," he said with a frown, fighting the urge to look away. "The truth is that someone who I had to fight before I came here found me and wanted a rematch. I didn't want to lead him to you, so I found somewhere deserted where we could fight." In the end, the match hadn't turned out nearly as bad as it could, which Sora was glad about, but Allen had suffered the consequences and that was why he was still guilty.

"You too?" he asked. "I was um... about to say the same thing actually." The bruises were kind of hard to see in the darkness, but they were there, much as he hated to admit it. His fight hadn't gone so well; he could only hope Sora's had gone a little better. "I didn't make it to the meeting spot last night either."
He did his best to look apologetic and still keep an eye on that giant robot. "So don't worry about it, okay? As long as... you're not upset with me either." Allen did a quick check on the distance between them, the robot, and the wall. Maybe they could make it in time.
"We should probably hurry. I don't think this guy's got much mind to wait for us."

Lockdown transformed back into his car mode and sped towards the young brown-haired human and his companion, who had recently entered the field while the bounty hunter had been taking care of the previous two inmates.
The muscle car flashed his red lights threateningly at the two of them, and revved his engine. Hopefully these two weren't as fast as the others he had dealt with, and he might just hit one of them.

"I... guess that works out, then?" It wasn't good that they'd both had rough nights, but at least this meant they hadn't ended up disappointing each other without meaning to. He thought it was strange that it had turned out that way - it almost seemed too neat - but he might as well not question it.
"And no, I'm not upset with you!" he quickly assured his friend as he waved both hands in front of him.
Either way, Allen had a point. They should get going before--
Just as Sora took a step forward, the robot-which-was-now-a-car again appeared before them... and it didn't seem very happy. He didn't think they were going to be able to reason with something like this, which left only two options: try to get by or run back inside. He didn't really want to give in too easily, but they were obviously outmatched here.
"Not sure I can outrun a car," he said under his breath, only loud enough for Allen to hear (hopefully). "What do you think?"

"U-uh..." Allen managed without squeaking as he took a step back toward the door, "maybe it would be better to find another way out."

After circling around the boys, the green and black muscle car drove himself into a position so that he was directly facing them, washing them in a bright, red glow from his headlights.
"I'll give you boys ten nanokliks to go right back to where you came from," Lockdown threatened, his voice dripping with menace. "Unless you want to end up as smears on my tires." The muscle car let out a sadistic chuckle to punctuate his threat.

The problem was that even if they did get far enough to start climbing it, the car could probably just change back into that robot thing and then pluck them off -- and Sora didn't want to imagine what would happen if this thing got its hands on them.
At least it was giving him the chance to retreat. Sora didn't really like running away, but he'd already gotten himself beaten up enough in the past few nights; he couldn't really convince himself that he could handle a fight like this without making matters worse.
"Okay, okay," he said with a sigh as he glanced from the car to Allen. "Guess we'll try to find another way..." He knew there were other options; he just didn't want to have to go the extra effort to get to those places. Unfortunately, it didn't look like they had any choice.
