Well, that was interesting. He'd just watched Lockdown being escorted out of the room by some of the staff. That meant one of two things, and he quite hoped it was the same as what it had been for him. A night of terrorizing meatbags was always fun, although HK did hope that if this was the case for Lockdown, the former droid would be able to

As the two girls came to stop in front of him, he bowed as a gentleman should (even if he wasn't hosting at the moment) - first to Yuffie and then to her unknown companion. They were both in unusual clothing, but Mori wasn't too surprised by that. He'd seen people wandering around in their own clothes (or what he presumed to be as such) before, and Yuffie had been wearing her clothes last night. Reaching out, he picked up the stick with his right hand and nodded his thanks. Turning slightly to the side, he rotated the staff so it would rest vertically against the wall. Then he leaned down and picked up the shuriken, hooking one finger into the hole in the center to help him grip it better.
Hefting it up, he twisted it around until the center of it rested on the palm of his hand. Then he held it out to Yuffie and waited for her to take it from him. He didn't respond to her comment about staying in the room. He'd thought it rude enough to ask her to come to him instead, so the least he could do was to meet her at the door.

Maybe it was the teacher in her, but she couldn't help herself. She took a step forward, ready to make some adjustments as soon as he gave her the go-ahead, or to take the shuriken and do a little demonstration herself, if he decided against it. Either way, she wouldn't leave him hanging onto it for too long; not only was it heavy by most people's standards-- not by hers, she hoped, since it hadn't been back home --but she kind of wanted to hug it. And maybe kiss it. Which was totally normal, okay.

She then stepped back some, as though she were in the way of this little demonstration, but if anything Yukari was still somewhat wary of the shuriken. Yuffie's apparent weapon of choice was quite unexpected (an ironic thought, considering Yuffie had said the same about her bow), but most of all, Yukari was surprised she could even carry the thing around, much less use it in an efficient manner.
There certainly were a lot of surprises around here.

Bowing his head again to Yukari, Mori looked back to Yuffie when she started to show him how to hold the shuriken. He relaxed his arm, which kind of made the weight a little harder to bear, but he had to in order to let her move his hand as she wanted. Yuffie had to be a teacher if just seeing him hold it was enough to set her off. At least she didn't do training like Chika and Mitsukuni did. He'd hate to get hit in the head again by this thing.
Once his hand was in the right position, he tested it and noticed that yes, indeed, it was easier to carry. Interesting. While shuriken and projectile weapons weren't his thing, he didn't mind learning about them. Nodding his thanks, he handed the weapon over to Yuffie and then looked back to Yukari. "Nice to meet you, too."

... Still.
It was her shuriken! Her baby, back in her arms again! Yuffie had almost flinched at the weight, her eyes wide with familiarity --just last night, with this shuriken, she'd-- no. This weapon, it'd served her well in the past, and even if she had her work cut out in readjusting herself to make it work for her, it'd be her strongest 'partner' here. She laughed; fully genuine for once, gleeful, and then she hugged the shuriken, spinning around in happy little circles. The steel was cold against her skin. Yukari and Mori were, for a moment, ignored.

In the meantime, after adjusting the bow slung over her shoulder again, Yukari just leaned back against the wall, giving Mori a sidelong glance. She didn't really have the heart to interrupt Yuffie's moment of bliss, and had no idea if he did or not either; but given how unspoken he was being, she guessed he wouldn't.

Wait, did she really just spin around and hug her shuriken? Mori shot a questioning look over to Yukari, then looked back to Yuffie. Well, so long as she was happy, then he could leave well enough alone. She had her weapon back, Mori had a replacement and now he had met yet another girl at the Institute. Mitsukuni would have liked her - she was cute and still carried a weapon. Nice combination.

It was gonna take some getting used to, this extra weight. There was no way that she'd be able to use it to it's full capabilities, and throwing it around like she would back home was so far out of the question that it might as well have tea parties in the Lifestream. With one last parting smile and a casual wave-salute, she started skipping off down the hallway, whistling cheerily as she went.
