Sitting on her bed, Chise couldn't help but stare at the open closet in front of her. She had absolutely no idea how to remove the pole from the top. Firstly, she didn't have enough strength to pull it off; and secondly...she couldn't come up with anything. The only thing she could do right now is wait for the man to drop off his flashlight, and maybe then she could ask him to pull out the closet pole.
F3... still closed. Evangeline rapped loudly on the door, heedless of the people in the hall around her. She didn't really have a plan, but she was pretty sure she wasn't going to do anything she needed to avoid witnesses for... though for her, that category included acts of unfettered kindness as well as violence.
Though if there was a roommate, it might be slightly awkward.
Not another one of those late night visits. Last night there was this little girl who was looking for her friend. She cried a lot, kind of like Chise. Kagura rolled out of bed and followed her roomie to the door.
"We're not buying anything, we don't owe you anything and no, we don't know any Onihimes," she said without even looking at the person by the door.
Not only was someone inside, but it couldn't have been more obvious from the way the girl answered the door that she was the one Evangeline was looking for. Looked younger than a lot of the girls in her class, sounded unsteady just answering the door, and generally radiated weakness.
"Nothing in particular, Captain." Evangeline said with her usual borderline malicious smirk. "I'll just be joining you for tonight."
With that, she tried to edge past the girl, only to find her way blocked by what she assumed was the girl's roommate, who apparently thought she was a solicitor. It figured they'd stick a kid with another kid, but Evangeline didn't want to deal with two at once and gave the redhead an annoyed look.
What? Chise flinched and cowered when the young girl addressed her by her old title. "How did you know?" She didn't like the way the girl was smirking at her; not to mention mean looking too. "A-and I'm not running any missions tonight."
Her spine grew back when Kagura came over to see who it was, but deadpanned when the aspect of solicitors was brought up. "Um...I don't think the institute runs any door-to-door business here." And what in the world is a Onihime?
Captain? Must be some geek-speak, like how Shinpachi's friends would all call him captain as they ran around making fools out of themselves during concerts. Nope, there was no suspicions about Chise being part of the military on Kagura's part. Though Chise was now elevated (demoted?) from normal girl status to bordering on geeky but still pretty normal girl.
"So she's your friend?" She took one long look at the new girl. She didn't look that special. She was short, blond, foreign and possibly just as geeky as Chise seeing as she just called her captain. She let her pass without reacting to her glare.
"You put it up on the board where anyone could read it, girl. The same as your room, which is what you should really be worrying about. And there doesn't need to be a mission, we're just going to go out." Evangeline said as she walked past Kagura and took a seat up on one of the desks to gain a little height.
Actually, she probably could have satisfied her curiosity just by talking, but the added stress of the nighttime environs might be helpful... and, more than anything, she just had a contrary, bullying nature that insisted that she tell Chise to do something she didn't want to.
"Oh...yeah, I did write that...eheheheh," Chise said sheepishly. "I'm sorry, I didn't think people would remember that." When the girl decided to sit on the desk, Chise didn't understand why the girl needed to do that. The stranger may be shorter than Chise, but she still felt small. It was almost as if a general was debriefing a new mission.
"No, and I don't even know who she is," she replied to Kagura. "Let alone her name. Although, somebody was suppose to give me their flashlight tonight." She wondered if the (assumed)man was okay.
He counted the doors and realized that the one he wanted was already open. Armand stepped close and rapped loudly upon the door frame. "Excuse me!" he called. "I am dropping off a light for a young lady." He took advantage of the pause to set down some of his burdens. He had to dig the flashlight out of his pillow case sack anyway. The sword he kept close.
Kagura opened the door to find a man holding out a flashlight. She could make a horrible joke out of this. She could also comment on how inappropriate it was to look for young ladies in the middle of the night. But no, the first thought that crossed her mind was--
Didn't think, period, was more like it. "I'm Evangeline," she said from her perch on the desk. Had to wait for someone else... it was annoying, but she wasn't so impatient as to try to make Chise miss her appointment. Though that would have been a good way of seeing how easily the girl could be pushed around.
Thankfully the man in question arrived almost immediately... and was greeted by another of Red's non sequiturs. The kid was just like the little troublemakers back at Mahora, but even more impulsive and random, a real pain just to watch. A pair like this two in the same room would be incredibly vulnerable.
A second set of knocks were heard and Chise turned around to greet whoever it was. Her expression brightened when their second visitor was the man with the flashlight, then turned a light shade of pink after Kagura blurted out. "H-He's not my boyfriend!" She retorted before returning to the man. "I'm sorry if this was troublesome for you, but thank you very much," she bowed before accepting the flashlight. "I hope things go well for you."
So the blond girl's name was Evangeline; it sounded foreign and pretty too. But why was she here?
"I'm not!" he protested, his face flushing crimson.
He gave Chise a small smile and echoed her bow while he tried to find his composure. Then he held out the flashlight to her. "It was no trouble. I see you're very busy... if you like, we can talk on Sunday." Armand was anxious to get on, but he wouldn't be rude to a roomful of young ladies for anything.
Tch. Just watching that response felt embarrassing. Honestly, sometimes she didn't feel like she'd left that stupid school at all. So formal, too... she was beginning to question having wanted to meet this person.
Since looking at the other two was getting annoying she switched to examining Kagura for any sign of guiding intelligence.
"So do you like messing with her or do you just say whatever comes into your head?"

"H-hello," she greeted the blond girl. "Is there something you need?"
[ooc: Armand, feel free to pop in at any time to quickly drop off the flashlight]
