Of course, he wanted to believe that Luke was around here, and they just weren't able to see him much right now for whatever reason. At the very least, Claude figured it was best to operate under that assumption for now. He just wished he could do more to reassure Guy, but he'd probably start sounding like a broken record, and his friend didn't seem like the sort who'd so easily latch onto things like that for comfort.
"Hey, no need to thank me," he replied a small smile. He'd never expected payment for Ashton's sword in the first place, so from his point of view, the meat cleaver's fate was for Guy to decide. "I should be thanking you for hearing me out today." It hadn't been easy for Claude to sit down and have to explain all of that, and he doubted it'd been a cake walk for Guy to have to listen to, either.
"Yeah...I'll see you," Claude said with a nod as he gathered his things. He made sure to flash Guy another quick smile before they parted ways until nightshift.
