Naoe nodded. He had come to the same conclusion. Living countless lifetimes had put him near many places like this, some of those memories were ones he didn't want to think about at this moment. Better to focus on what was happening right now.

"This might be dangerous," he pointed out, but his tone had just the tiniest hint of excitement. Maybe this lab would answer some questions. He might find out more and therefore have something to report to his Lord. When he ever talked to the man again that was.

Yoskiaki sounded almost excited to discover the place. Sasuke had to admit that he was plased as well -- they might finally learn something. Still, precautions were necessary.

"Are you armed at all?" Sasuke lifted his bat for mild emphasis. He could spare a few pens and some cutlery. This man seemed relatively capable.

Naoe shook his head. "I haven't been able to find anything up until now. This is my first night here after all." He turned his attention to the room around them. Was there anything here he could use? Even if he had to tear apart the place to get it.

Sasuke extracted several knives and forks and held them out. He didn't like giving up weapons, but he could always steal more, and it was best to have armed backup.

"If you can throw, these will do," he said, although he glanced around as well. It didn't seem like there was much of note in this room, but they were improvising.
