Night 40: F01-F10 Hallway

[ From here. Outside F3]Because she needed to get to Orihime and Shiki's room before either of them left, Ururu had practically run the short distance down the halls. Normally she might not, since she knew better than to run inside. Tessai-san didn't like it when Jinta-kun did that at the shop especially, since something usually ended up broken ( Read more... )

Whoa. Hey. Whoa. Matt's eyes widened considerably as he came to the slow realization that Sen might not actually be wearing anything underneath the blanket she had wrapped around her. Why was she not wearing anything under the blanket? Was this really an important question? Wasn't there supposed to be dating before this sort of thing took place? Matt's whole mental picture of how getting with a woman was supposed to work wasn't matching up here at all. Whatever time period Sen was from had to be full of unattractive men. Perhaps it was his hygiene. Did they have tooth brushes back in that era of Japan?

Focus, Matt. No, don't focus too hard. Move the eyes elsewhere. Or don't. He was completely lost as to how he should respond. Some part of him, that was slowly getting pushed to the background, was yelling at him to be cautious, while the part doing the pushing was screaming why are you hesitating , a hot chick wants you.

"R-right. Well." He raised his hands from his sides, found himself at a loss on what to do with them, then set them down again. "It's just a bit hard to, uh, haven't I said this already? In what way do you mean to, uh..."

Well, so far so good, though the man's reaction only solidified Ayumu's suspicions as to his lack of experience with women. Whatever a "computer technician" did, clearly it kept him away from certain things, which meant that she would certainly have to be careful not to push too hard - but at the same time, to not let him think too much, either.

She allowed a measure of hope to creep into her expression, reassured by the fact that he wasn't trying to push her away, even though uncertainty remained. He certainly wasn't encouraging anything, of course, but still there wasn't any outright rejection.

The blanket slipped just a little more away from her bare shoulder as she moved one more step closer, hand sliding across his vest to curl lightly around the sleeve opening. Just a little bit of pull there encouraged him to move toward her as well, and she leaned in to cut off his stammering with a kiss.

Oh hell. If Matt was a more chivalrous man, he might have insisted that it was far too soon for her to be approaching him like this, and that they should take things slowly and rationally. But Matt was far from being a chivalrous man.

They'd already kissed before. This was nothing new. Her being this close to him while there was so little between him and her bare skin, however, was going to drive him crazy. He let her silence him, and after the initial freezing-up reaction he allowed himself to calm, placing shaky hands on her shoulders.

The kiss began almost hesitantly, as though "Sen" was surprised at her own daring. With the positive reaction (or, at least, a lack of a negative one), though, it didn't remain such for very long, and she leaned into the kiss, her hand closing tightly about the fabric of his vest.

As she did she pressed against him, exerting just enough pressure to encourage him to step back without being blatantly obvious about it. Back, farther into the room, toward the nearest bed. (Which happened to be Yuffie's, but it wasn't as though her roommate was there to object.)

With her attention ostensibly focused on other things, though, her one-handed grip on the blanket went slack, and it slid farther down her arms until Robin's hands on her shoulders found only bare skin.

Matt let himself be led back easily, though not without wondering if it was wrong to let her be in charge. He was a bit too weak in the knees to offer much argument at this point either way, especially with how her blanket was falling down, Jesus Christ.

The back of his calves hit the edge of the bed and he sat down on it automatically, pulling away from her a bit in the process. That nagging voice was still there. This was too easy. Things shouldn't be going this way.

What if she was being controlled by someone or something. What if she was some sort of alien hive-mother, looking for a victim to help spawn hundreds of little alien larvae that would slowly grow in him and eat him away form the inside out before turning on the rest of the Institute's populace?

That was an overactive imagination. And really? Who the fuck cared?

"Shit," he managed weakly.

The blanket had slowly slid down even more until it was held in place only by virtue of the fact that Ayumu was too close to him for it to fall any farther. Once Robin sat, though, he pulled away enough that it dropped; she caught it before it could fall completely away, but the way she held it bunched just before her breasts barely hid anything at all.

Ayumu lowered herself to sit beside him a little less abruptly, lifting her free hand to gently brush his hair from his forehead, fingertips trailing lightly down along his cheek. "I've always been alone," she said, voice soft enough to be barely audible. "Alone, and scared, and here...I'm tired of it."

Though she'd been taking the lead up to that point, now she hesitated a little, as though waiting for some kind of cue from him before pressing any farther. "I like you, Robin," she repeated, her hand trembling for an instant against his skin as her eyes met his with an almost pleading look.

Alone? How had a woman looking like Sen did manage to be alone? There was still the different time periods to consider, but something about that just didn't seem right to Matt. The little warning voice that had just started to pick up volume again was easily quashed, however, as the blanket continued to slip. It was becoming increasingly difficult to keep his eyes anywhere else.

He swallowed thickly. "I, uh, I like you too." His voice was a bit shaky as he answered. Did he love her? No. He hadn't known her long enough to have developed those sort of feelings, even if she'd seemed very interested in being with him. Did he like her enough to be willing to try a little physical intimacy? Hell yes.

A skilled kunoichi was trained to make use of whatever weapons were available to her, and Ayumu was certainly one of the best of her kind. Accordingly, she gradually released her hold on the blanket once more as though she were simply not paying attention, allowing it to slowly slide down and pool about her waist.

The response appeared to be what she was waiting for, or close enough to it, for she smiled and allowed her hand to slide down to rest on his shoulder. For a moment she seemed about to say something, but after a brief pause she merely leaned in, closing the small distance between them to resume the interrupted kiss.

Matt blanked out, and he knew the situation was way out of his control. This was probably the first time he'd seen fully exposed breasts outside internet porn since he'd been an infant. He couldn't draw his eyes away, and when Sen moved in to kiss him again, he had to pull back abruptly. Blood had started to slowly run out of his nose. "Ah.." He wiped at it hurriedly with the back of his hand, cursing himself for possibly ruining the moment.

Way to be embarrassing. In an attempt to make up for it, he unzipped the front of his vest and pulled it off, tossing it aside before leaning in to wrap his arms around her. The less fabric he had between those and him, the better.

Well, that was certainly...unusual.

Ayumu gave a startled blink as he moved back, confusion giving way after a second to concern, but at least the bleeding didn't seem serious. She was starting to wonder, though, if Robin could handle the situation; she was supposed to be earning his trust, after all, not giving him a heart attack.

"If you don't want to..." she began, letting the comment trail off into a questioning note. The tone of her voice, though, and the way she quite willingly pressed up against him again said that she hoped very much that he did want to.

"N-no! I mean, yes!" Matt's voice came in a bit of a choke. "No, I... I want to." And he hoped she was getting at what she thought he was getting at, because if she put on a display like this and didn't follow up he might just go crazy. Fuck, he could feel them.

Breath somewhat ragged, he leaned forward to finish the kiss she'd started to continue before. He'd be damned if he was going to let one embarrassing slip-up ruin this opportunity for him.

Good, then it was all still proceeding according to plan. And really, Ayumu had to admit, Robin was rather cute in all his fumbling awkwardness. Duty was duty, and she'd have followed orders regardless, but it didn't always have to be unpleasant.

With a soft, pleased sigh she met and welcomed the kiss, hands closing around the material of his shirt and drawing him closer still. And as the kiss progressed, she slowly began to lean back, pulling him with her to the bed.

And fade back in.

Fuck, yes. He was a man.

A man that wouldn't be rising from bed any time within the next few minutes, but a man all the same. Matt peered at Sen through half-lidded eyes, raising one still slightly shaking hand up to brush through her hair. Shit, she was gorgeous.

Should he be saying something? She'd seemed far too experienced to need any comfort from him, so for the moment he stayed quiet. Were you even supposed to say anything after this type of thing? 'I love yous' or whatnot, perhaps. Well, he couldn't offer that.

"Shit," he breathed instead.

If nothing else, hopefully by now Robin had been convinced she wasn't just toying with him, as he'd accused her that morning. He'd at least been enjoying himself enough not to complain so far, and now she just had to make certain he stayed complacent enough that it would remain true, allowing her to do her job.

"Mmm?" Ayumu smiled a little and stretched, apparently as lazy and content as any housecat, before resettling a little closer to him, her voice a soft murmur. "That's good, right?"

It would be good to know what he was thinking - if he was thinking right now. There was simply too much she didn't know about him in order to understand him, but he clearly wasn't like most of the samurai she'd dealt with in the past.

"Yeah... yeah, that was definitely good." Matt brushed his bangs away from his eyes, hair damp with sweat. See, what he needed was more nights of this and less running around in monster infested hallways.

The arm that wrapped around Sen was slightly possessive. "That was, uh... wow. Do you think we can do this again sometime?"
