Harley clicked on her flashlight and checked back and forth as she usually did. All clear. Alright-e-o! She moved as quickly as she could down the hallway. No monsters and no other people yet. She knew that changed pretty quickly around here so best to get a move on.

As expected, the dark hall was busier than it had been last night. She hadn't been cheated out of her night this time...
It also wasn't as dark, with flashlight-bearing patients moving around, and... perhaps she was getting a bit better at seeing in the dark. As though the merely human faculties she now possessed had to adjust to the loss of their previous supernatural enhancement. What this implied about the nature of the change from a magical perspective would have been an interesting question for her to pursue had it not been symptomatic of the further decrease of her abilities from even what she'd had in Mahora in some areas, and therefore extremely aggravating to even thing about.
At any rate, she didn't need to worry about running into anything but an especially stealthy patient anymore... whether her vision was improving or not, she had a good feel for the hall's dimensions now, and her sense for her own position within it was excellent... you needed to be good at keeping track of that kind of stuff to make a decent combat mage and she was, of course, the best.
