Day 40: Doctor's Office 2 (Dr. House) [Second Shift]

Apr 01, 2009 22:42

It might've just been House, but the sessions these last few days seemed to have all dragged on even longer than usual. Not that it was really a surprise: most of them had been boring anyway, though his findings in regards to the diva's blood had been... interesting. No drugs or weird results of any kind, though then again, it could've been that the machines Landel had at his disposal were calibrated to give just that readout. Good observation was just as important as having the mental equivalent of fifty medical textbooks at your disposal, and if there's anything House had noticed about all his patients, it was that they were all as annoying and predictable as any old schmuck he got stuck doing clinic duty with. Crazy people, on the other hand, were predictable only in the context of their own delusions. They should have been interesting.

House sat at the reclining chair in the corner of his office near the door, using a leg rest to support his bad leg as he twirled his cane between his fingers and stared forward. Not a single person - Foreman, Cameron, Chase, or even Cuddy - had returned his calls, and even weirder was the fact that Wilson, with all of his suicidal social obligations, hadn't already noticed the same.

house, schuldig
