Day 40: Intercom, Morning

"Well," the Head Doctor's voice said cheerily, suddenly broadcasting with much more enthusiasm than he had shown during his earlier, groggier announcement, "we have a bit of a complicated day ahead of us - splitting the patient body into three sections - so let's get this show on the road, shall we? Yes, yes, we'll soon be receiving paperwork for more patients to be added to our..."

It seemed to occur to him, just as it had earlier, that he was giving a bit too much information. He sighed.

"In any case, all male patients will now be going to the Recreational Field while all female patients will be going to the Greenhouse. Today is our last day of therapy, so I urge patients to fully harness their time with their doctor today. In other words... make it count!"

He gave a hearty laugh as the intercom clicked off. It wasn't too reassuring.
