Dinner had been refreshingly quiet after the roar of the music room- apparently Matsuda was sleeping this one out- but even with room to reflect, Depth Charge still found himself at a loss. For one thing, he hadn’t made any plans. For another, he’d dropped his slagging flashlight and bat last night. Three minor issues that, while not exactly

When all was said and done, it hadn't taken that long, and Guy did his best not to worry about the juice as he reached Claude's door. He knew his friend would understand that some of it had been lost in the transport, and there wasn't much else that could be said about that.
Right now, the bigger problem was that he had no way of knocking on the door, or even opening it (which he wouldn't have done even if he could since he remembered the way Claude had reacted to Dias barging in last night). He could have set down his flashlight so that he could knock, but that seemed like way too much effort -- and way too risky, when he'd already spilled who knew how much of the juice.
There was another way to go about this, of course. "Hey, Claude?" he called out, making sure to raise his voice so that it would carry through the door. "I'm here." Claude would understand why he hadn't just knocked once he opened the door, he figured.

"Oh, wow!" he said as he moved in a little closer. "Here, let me take something from you." Claude smiled a little guiltily. "Sorry, I should have realized your hands were going to be so full."
Maybe it would have been better to meet in Guy's room, but it was a bit late for that now. This was probably something to keep in mind the next time they set up a meeting spot, though.

"I think some of the juice may have spilled," he explained, tone somewhat apologetic. In fact, it was probably seeping from the pillowcase onto Claude's sheets now, but Guy didn't think it mattered since everything would be back to normal when morning came.
He carefully opened the bag and first pulled out the artifact, which had gotten some juice on it as well. Sighing, he wiped it off on the bed and then put it down before easing the pitcher of juice out. "There's still a good amount left," he said thankfully.

He hadn't thought of bringing the artifact they'd gotten last night along, but it was probably a good thing Guy did. It would have been terrible if they made it all the way down there, only to find out they needed it for something. "I'm sure it's still okay," he assured his friend once he removed the juice from the bag. "You had a lot of things to carry, so..."
Claude reached to take the juice from Guy. "By the way," he added, sounding a little sheepish now, "I meant to apologize for acting like a jerk last night. It's tough enough being trapped here, so the last thing I want is to make it worse for people by snapping like that."

Knowing Claude, he'd probably complain that Dias had knocked when he needn't have bothered, what with the door being open, but then Dias was used to clashing with his rival and didn't think much of it.

The apology came out of nowhere, and Guy wasn't even sure what Claude was talking about until the younger man elaborated. "Oh, that -- it's no big deal," he said, quickly waving his friend off. "Everyone gets agitated sometimes. It can be pretty hard to keep your cool in a place like this..."
Before he could say any more, he heard a rapt knock at the door, and there was only one person that could be. It almost underlined what they had just been talking about, which caused Guy to inwardly grimace. Hopefully Dias hadn't overheard what he'd just been saying.
Seeing how this was Claude's room, Guy left it for him to handle.

Then again, going out of his way to irritate him wasn't really his style. Claude knew Dias well enough to realize that.
He supposed the person he really needed to apologize to was Dias, but there would be an opportunity to do that the next time he got to speak with him privately. He was pretty sure Dias had gotten irritated with him during fourth shift while talking to Dad, too, so it was probably best to talk to him about that as well.
Quietly frowning to himself, he stared off into space for a moment. Dad...to think he'd show up in this place like he had. Claude's stomach jumped up into his throat a little bit every ( ... )

Guy wasn't sure if it was intentional or not, though. In this case, Dias had completely brushed off Claude's explanation, and Guy had to admit he could understand why that might rub the other blond the wrong way.
In this case, it seemed like the best thing to do was just keep the conversation moving. "Just about, yeah. Although... do you think you could carry this artifact, Dias?" he asked as he moved back over to the bed to grab the shield they had won last night. "I figured we should bring it just in case, but I don't really have any hefty pockets..."
Not that his normal outfit had them, either, but that was beside the point.

Besides, he was the only one of their group he'd trust to fight one-handed. Claude was skilled, but he wasn't that good yet, and Dias still couldn't vouch for how good Guy was with a blade. Perhaps tonight would give him his first glimpse of Guy's abilities.
Dias could tell he was unnerving Guy and Claude with his silence, so just to seem willing, he added, "Do we need anything else?"
They'd made good progress last night; hopefully tonight would be similar. But somehow Dias suspected that any challenges they met tonight would be a bit more time-consuming than a riddle(that had been a stroke of good luck he didn't expect to repeat itself), so he wanted to hurry up and get moving.
