As he talked, Forte became much louder as his pride overrode caution. "I was built by Dr. Wily (the only thing he ever did right), to be the most powerful Super Fighting Robot in existence, so I could destroy the world's hero, Rock Man. He was the strongest, but I was built to be faster, stronger, more powerful than him in every way. If

"I am sorry we went astray. Tis completely my fault." He looked especially at Alec as he spoke, even though he moved into the new hall--hopefully the correct on this time. "I get carried away." He wanted to say so much more to Alec, but he founds it difficult to get the words to come.
"I have this plan of something I want to do, and I want you all to help as you can, if you will. You can defend yourselves. Some of us aren't as good at that. I'm going to recruit couriers. Messengers. Some of us will need defenders, bodyguards if you will."

When Armand started to speak about his plan, he was immediately interested. "Go on," he prompted, trying to provide what encouragement he could.

He thought he'd seen something a lot closer, just out of the corner of his eye. When he looked, there wasn't anything there, but there were footsteps that couldn't be accounted for. "We need to keep moving." Under most circumstances he might have dismissed it as just hearing things, but this place didn't work by those normal rules.

He didn't want to waste any breath in talking nor give himself time to panic. He broke into a run, not back the way they came like before but toward the next door. His fingers closed around the knob but couldn't quite grasp. He wasn't practiced with holding his breath, and what little there was was being actively drained. This door wasn't locked. It just needed opening, and they'd be in the next room.

Armand began to run, and he broke out in a dead sprint to follow. The lack of air was beginning to freak him out. He was better at holding his breath, but it didn't really help when the air was leaving of its own accord. Oh, damn the laughter!

From down the hall came footsteps that seemed to run along the floor and then up the walls, but the sylphs were sad to see that more of their brethren weren't coming. Someone was just playing a silly joke.
Which, speaking of jokes...Citan and TK were far too calm! They needed to have a little fun, too. Breaking away from Armand for a moment, one of the sylphs slipped over to TK, running circles around him. Her form slipped in and out of view and then she came up by his ear, whispering a joke in her own language and laughing as she pulled the air away from him now.
