Okay, so he could check "salt" off the grocery list. It wasn't as much as he'd like but it was good enough for now. It'd been a bitch to get to, but he was already feeling a hell lot more confident now that he had some on his person. It wasn't like having a sawed-off fully loaded with some rock-salt, but it was better than where he'd been a day ago. Dean left the pantry behind him, searching for what else he needed in his head. The fact it took a few seconds longer than it should've did have him worried. It shouldn't have taken him that long to remember he needed some kinda container for the holy water; probably the cold and wet clothes getting to him. He couldn't keep running around in his clothes like this unless he had a death wish.
In a bit, he kept telling himself. He'd head back to the patient blocks after this. He just had to get this stuff while he was here.
Dean made a beeline for the trash can off to the side, rooting around in it without even thinking about it. Wasn't like he hadn't had to do this before, although having to dick around tryin' to find some kinda container was a new one for him. Took a few minutes, but eventually he hit gold. Down near the bottom was an empty milk container, the gallon kind you could find at just about any supermarket. So that solved the problem of where he was gonna keep the holy water. Next step was making it back alive to the room and stashing the beginning of his arsenal in his room. And...
Oh yeah. Change. He was gonna change. Dean had to rouse himself from standing there, standing blindly at the empty milk gallon without really seeing it. Shit, he was starting to lose it.
Gathering up his pillowcase of salt, the milk container and the rest of his stuff, Dean braced himself and headed for the door that would lead back into the cafeteria.
