It was completely dark when they approached the hallway, but it didn't look like there was anything out here just yet. Hopefully it would remain that way. Probably depended on whether or not the Janitor's closet was locked or not or if they'd have to knock it down.
"Should be that one," Allen pointed out.

Figuring that he shouldn't jinx them, Sora decided not to say any of that out loud. Instead, he reached forward and grabbed the doorknob, not too surprised to see that it was locked. He couldn't summon his Keyblade for something like this, so he was just going to have to tackle it like he always did.
Sora made a motion with his hand to indicate that Allen should get out of the way. "Here goes," he said as he backed up to get a running start.

Without further ado, he raced at it, and once he had almost reached it, he half-jumped and shoved his side against it. It hurt - it always did - and the lock budged, but didn't break.
Sora took a few shaky steps back and eyed his "opponent" for a moment. The locks never broke on the first try, though, so he was prepared to go at it again.

"H-hey!" he called out, hopefully before Sora took another bound toward the locked door. "I can help too, you don't have to do it by yourself." Allen hurried over to assist, hoping Sora wouldn't be so stubborn as to not take him up on the offer.

Indy rounded the corner and saw two scruffy-haired teenage boys by the janitor's closet door--the one they needed to get through. One of them had evidently just done a flying leap into the door. It hadn't been successful; he looked like he was getting ready to give it another shot.
He felt good about this for two reasons. The first was that the kids didn't look like the types to try to kill them. The second was that their trying to break down the door meant that they were the first ones here, which meant that he and Pierson would have the run of the toolkit, aside from whatever the two boys needed.
He rubbed his left shoulder instinctively. This wouldn't be fun, but you did what you had to. "Get ready for some noise," he muttered to Pierson, who would doubtless be just as amused by Indy's door-busting performance as he had been last night. Well, Indy would damn well be happy to stop hurling himself at doors as soon as they found a better--make that any--alternative. At least this time the door was demonstrably locked ( ... )

He didn't offer his own aid in the endeavor; if three people to a single door was a little bit of overkill, then four would be absolutely ridiculous. He halted his approach several feet back to leave more than enough room, clasping his own makeshift weapon loosely, as though not quite sure what to do with it. From this remove he studied the two teens. Neither looked very threatening upon initial assessment, though he didn't take that as reason enough to drop his guard. The same could have been said of him, and had been on more than one occasion.

"Um... I can give it a try this time Sora, along with ah... this gentleman here; then neither one of us has to push ourselves too hard yet." There weren't even any monsters out so far and it was always a good idea to save one's strength.
"Besides," he tried offering a smile, even if it was only a small one, "wouldn't want you to have all the fun." He glanced at the man who'd offered to help, tilting his head toward the door as if to ask him to join in, then readied himself once again to make a run at it.

He thought he spied Jones shooting him a look, and contrived to look innocent and a little sheepish, though he didn't spare enough attention to look back to meet the other man's gaze. If his roommate had decided he was incapable instead of indifferent, he wasn't going to say otherwise and destabilize the image he'd already projected. Even if Jones' idea of what an academic was seemed broader than the usual definition, it would raise questions.

"Oh, yes, thank you sir," he nodded at the explanation and with Sora's offer to let him finish things, he supposed he ought to hurry and get on with it. No use keeping everyone waiting.
