What had that intercom announcement been? There had been a lot of patient movement these past few days, but killing off that many people? The thought sent a chill down Miles' spine. He had dealt with serial murder cases in the past, but if the announcement was accurate, that meant that Landel was committing serial murder on a regular basis. It needed to be stopped, but in order to do so, he needed more evidence than he had.

Once the lights went out, he flicked on his flashlight and began making preparations. He was pleasantly surprised to find his suit hanging neatly in his closet, looking as if it were fresh from the dry cleaners'. Edgeworth hadn't expected to find it again, but it was - nice wasn't exactly the right word for it. Comforting? Possibly...

He pondered that concept as he got changed and gathered the rest of his things - notebook, pen, flashlight. He walked back to the closet, looking at the rapier inside it for a long moment before picking it up. It felt strange in his hand, and he didn't think he would ever truly get used to carrying it. On the other hand...if that intercom announcement was any indication, he felt he might need it.
