Just as he always did, Mori came to pick up his cousin. He was still worried about Reid, but unless he abandoned Mitsukuni one night there wasn't anything he could do for him. And leaving Mitsukuni alone was like asking Mori to take off his own arm. Which he probably would, if it would have saved his cousin, but he rather liked keeping both arms where they were.
Shaking his head slightly at the thought, he moved up silently to where Mitsukuni was waiting for him. He wondered just how long his cousin had been waiting and mentally chided himself for not coming faster. At least the ice cream hadn't melted yet. Holding the bowl of green tea ice cream out to Mitsukuni, Mori kneeled down to let the boy onto his shoulders.

"We should hurry," he told Takashi as he pointed the flashlight down the hall. "It would be rude for us to keep Anise-chan waiting."

Apparently, to meet Anise - which was good. Mori knew Anise and had given her some of his food. Perhaps she'd remember him, too. Moving down the hall, Mori made sure to follow Mitsukuni's flashlight beam, relying on that and his cousin to guide him.
