Day 38: Intercom, Dusk
The intercom jingle sounded and the Head Doctor cleared his throat.
"Well, I hope all of you enjoyed dinner; I know I certainly did! In any case, I believe we all would like a little beauty rest right now, so I should probably leave you to be attended to and tucked in by our wonderful nurses before we all retire. Remember, we'll be bringing in some new patients during the night so as not to disturb all of you, so please don't be alarmed by any noises you hear in the hallway tonight.
"You've all been very well-behaved this past week and I hope things continue that way so that we can continue giving you all the privileges you enjoy. Good night, and see you tomorrow!"
The intercom clicked off.
